Intro

Peace, My name is Noah Wright, for those of you who don't know I am a song writer/ recording artist who goes by the name of Phoenix. I recently wrote & premiered my first short film "Valley of The Sun" with the help of Tony Kure & a gang of talented actors & actresses here in Phoenix, AZ. 

March 2015 I found myself in Tucson with my team recording some new songs for my project. As I was brainstorming which direction to go I decided instead of going the traditional route with a bunch of music videos, why not turn these songs into a MOVIE??? I wanted to give a FULL experience this time and not hold  anything back! So I turned to the best director I know, Tony Kure, we put our minds together and designed a draft for the script. Next thing you know, we had a teaser trailer for Valley of the Sun, a small cast, crew, and half of the film done by July- but this was only the beginning. The film did so great we sold out the premiere at Arizona Mills Harkins Theater & now have decided to bring the film to my hometown, Cedar Rapids, IA!!! 

The Goal:

$950

• $300 for Professional Engineer to digitally remaster Sound for film.
• $250 for Deposit for theater.
• $400 for Travel expenses

The Impact

• The reason why I decided to go the Indiegogo route this time is because I would like to take a percentage of the proceeds from this project as well as ticket sales from the premiere & donate to the Boys & Girls club of Cedar Rapids. The Boys & Girls club was one of the places which kept me focused and out of the streets. My wish is to do the same with this donation to help the Boy's and Girl's Club for kids in the community.

Risks & Challenges

To be honest, looking forward, we have challenges ahead and no doubt they are tough, However, I believe we will be able to excel and achieve not just this goal but our stretch goal set for the film. We now have less than 30 days to accomplish this goal as well as complete the sound for the film. 7 Months ago this started as an idea and grew into a sold out premiere. Many nights we have sacrificed sleep, money, savings, even the clothes on our backs to bring this vision into a reality. I am blessed to be in this position to bring a film to the big screen, the ultimate goal is to bring it to my hometown, and here I am which is a dream come true.
