Who We Are

We are two friends who have a vision for a useful platform which combines elements of e-commerce and crowdfunding.

We firmly believe that with such rapid advances in technology, vendors and artisans should have the opportunity to reach more customers than ever before. At the same time, we feel that customers should have access to a unique variety of products and the ability to affect the prices of these products. Finally, we posit that the nascent crowdfunding space has an inherent flaw: in many instances, funders aren’t guaranteed anything in exchange for their contributions. Our team believes that crowdfunding can be done differently—that business to consumer transactions can be used to fund small enterprises. At VendorFriend we are combining the premier benefits of crowdfunding and e-commerce to create a revolutionary marketplace for small businesses and customers alike.

In donating to our campaign, you will be providing us with crucial liquidity, thereby allowing us to create a platform that will change the way small businesses, vendors, and artisans can raise money and sell their products.

What We Need

To make our dream a reality, we are going to need to cover the cost of creating a small business. Though we have a small team of web developers that have already built the platform, we still need to cover our most basic and critical expenses.

Our goal is to raise at least $1000. This will cover our incorporation and additional legal costs.

What You Get

We have established a list of perks (outlined below) for your enjoyment as a token of our appreciation for your fiscal support:

-$10-$24—Thank you card

-$25-$74—Thank you letter

-$75-$149— Thank you video message and thank you letter

-$150-$249— Autographed funny photo of Sam and Jackson, thank you video message, and thank you letter

-$250-$499—Lunch with Sam and Jackson, autographed funny photo of Sam and Jackson, thank you video message, and thank you letter

-$500+—VendorFriend will forfeit its commission on the sale of your products for one year, lunch with Sam and Jackson, autographed funny photo of Sam and Jackson, thank you video message, and thank you letter

The Impact

We understand that our platform can be leveraged to help both aspiring entrepreneurs in the United States and abroad. As such, we see VendorFriend as a deeply social undertaking. We are providing the customer the ability to empower entrepreneurs within their local community, the United States, and around the globe. Moreover, we are giving these underserved artisans, vendors, and small business owners a potentially groundbreaking platform through which to fund and sell their products. It is our hope that we will foster the development of a diverse global network of successful entrepreneurs.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are a student, like many IndieGoGo users, you probably don’t have too much money to donate to our campaign. That said, small donations add up, so please consider contributing $20, $10, or even $5.

Even if you don’t have the money, there are many other ways you can contribute to our campaign. The tech industry is very much oriented around the power of the word of mouth. Therefore, each additional person who becomes aware of our concept improves our overall chances at success. Please, spread the word! You can share our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, your blog, etc. or with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Thank you so much. Soon, with your help, we will begin our mission to positively change the world of crowdfunding, e-commerce, and entrepreneurialism!
