The Story

Arianna and Vittorio meet by a strange chance in a tough neighborhood near Rome, Italy. She is looking for money to reach her real parents in Germany, he is "on vacation" at the house of an old uncle with some walking problems. Vittorio is a naive existence in total mercy of a sensitive soul, while Arianna is a real dynamo of action and energy. Her only problem is perhaps to continue to trust certain people, even when the experiences show her completely opposite paths. Theirs will be a bizarre love story born during Arianna’s last mission as a drug dealer — Vittorio will be with her not to attract attention to her movements. A brief story experienced by the two with completely opposite feelings but that will give them a way to realize their own existential conditions.

Arianna e Vittorio si incontrano per uno strano caso, in un luogo che non è il loro. Lei è in cerca di soldi per raggiungere i suoi veri genitori in Germania, lui è "in vacanza" da uno zio con alcuni problemi di deambulazione. Anche Vittorio sembrerebbe avere qualche problema, tutti lo credono un po' allentato. In realtà, la sua non è che un'esistenza in totale balia di un animo sensibile. Arianna è un vulcano, il suo unico problema è forse quello di continuare a fidarsi di certe persone, anche quando le esperienze le indicano percorsi del tutto opposti. La loro sarà una bizzarra storia d'amore, nata durante l'ultima missione di Arianna nelle vesti di pusher — Vittorio le sarà affiancato per non attirare attenzione sui suoi movimenti. Una breve storia vissuta dai due con sentimenti del tutto opposti, ma che darà loro un modo per realizzare le proprie condizioni esistenziali.

The Author

David Capone was born in Naples, Scampia neighborhood, where he lived 20 years of his life before moving to other cities like London and Rome. Despite the distance from his places, somehow he keeps getting fascinated by some cityscapes and architectures from the edge of town, by corners and streets he's walked as a kind of bohemian alien. So, his stories are often marked by these elements.

Writer and journalist for various literary and music magazines, today he is the editor of Dioniso Punk webzine, for which he makes articles, interviews, documentaries and short films. His Facebook page is also an out-of-the-box space followed by thousands of people from all over the world.

David Capone è nato a Napoli, quartiere di Scampia, dove ha vissuto 20 anni della sua vita prima di trasferirsi in altre città come Londra e Roma. Nonostante la distanza dai suoi luoghi, in qualche modo continua ad essere affascinato da alcuni paesaggi urbani e architetture di estrema periferia, da angoli e vie percorse da alieno un po' bohémien. Le sue storie sono spesso contrassegnate da questi elementi.

Scrittore e giornalista per varie riviste letterarie e musicali, oggi è redattore della webzine Dioniso Punk, per la quale realizza articoli, interviste, documentari e cortometraggi. La sua pagina Facebook è inoltre uno spazio fuori dagli schemi seguito da migliaia di persone da tutto il mondo.

The Budget

Since the budget for the film was small, in relation to our great desire to make it happen, we went a little into debt. We must also complete production and post-production — color grading, audio mixing and soundtrack above all others —, which require further budget, as you may know.

But we feel we did good work! It was an intense week of shooting in which we didn't spare ourselves, and this gives us high hopes of the final product.

Poiché il budget per il film era piccolo, in relazione al nostro grande desiderio di realizzarlo, ci siamo un po' indebitati. Dobbiamo inoltre completare produzione e post-produzione — color grading, mixaggio audio e colonna sonora su tutti — che richiedono un ulteriore budget, come forse sapete.

Ma sentiamo di aver fatto un buon lavoro! È stata un'intensa settimana di riprese in cui non ci siamo risparmiati, e questo ci dà grandi speranze per il prodotto finale.

Risks & Challenges

As you can see for yourself, even consulting other projects, what we ask is the bare minimum to guarantee these things, with the only risk of  paying for it out of our own pockets. But at this point we're not afraid of anything, we're already won our biggest challenge! Finally, the film will be ready for festivals and competitions around the world.

Come potete vedere voi stessi, anche consultando altri progetti, quello che noi chiediamo è lo stretto necessario a garantire queste cose, con l’unico rischio di doverci mettere ancora qualcosa di tasca nostra. Ma a questo punto non ci preoccupa più nulla, abbiamo già vinto la nostra più grande sfida! Infine, il film sarà pronto per festival e concorsi in giro per il mondo.
