What is this film about?
Logline
Connor, a manipulative and self-alienated high school senior, ditches prom for his usual routine of bar-hopping, debauchery, and taking on alternate identities before being humbled by a string of disasters.
Style
Welcome Back Lounge is a character study, so we’ve chosen to tell the story through Connor’s eyes and restrict the audience’s perspective to what he can see and hear.
Inspirations
Emulating the visual patience of Antonioni, Wenders, Altman, Yang (and so many others), we plan to tell this story with wider compositions that give our actors room to show off. We feel this story calls for longer takes that allow one's eyes to travel around the frame.

Why This Film?
What we've set out to do
Our team of filmmakers believes in this medium’s ability to change its audience perspective on their own lives. We’re not naive, it’s an extremely difficult task and a very ambitious goal. But that’s what we’re setting out to do.
Directors statement
It is my hope that Welcome Back Lounge will show its audience a confusing character they can understand and a broken person they can still love.
A quote we love
“I’ve never seen an exploding helicopter. I’ve never seen anybody go and blow somebody’s head off. So why should I make films about them?” - John Cassavetes
