Israel is in a crisis that they deny and do not give significant attention to. A crisis they have brought on themselves from disobedience to the true way of a relationship with Yehovah. In Israel there is a severe water shortage, even the government's attempts to desalinate water from the coast and replenish the Dead Sea and Sea of Galilee have failed to have a positive result. The water levels remain dangerously low. Every year the temperatures in Israel continue to rise by at least one-degree Celsius due to the continued clearing of the land and additions of much concrete and asphalt. We believe we are headed into a God-directed famine of food and water. The struggle is that Israel, the current nation, is seeking to heal Israel, the land, without Yehovah.
We desire to not partake in this system of destruction of the land where Yehovah placed His name. Yehovah called us to be caretakers of His land from the beginning. In Hebrew: b'reysheet or in English: Genesis. Not only are we against being part of the destruction because the enemy of our Elohim is the source of all destruction. And these destructive land actions will continue to drive up the cost of living here in Israel.
We believe we are called to be living examples in Israel of the Elohim we serve. To exemplify the blessing of correct relationship and obedience.
In order to survive in this country, we call home, we will need to be free of all debt and expenses of mortgage or rental payments. It's very expensive to live in Israel. Modest meals alone cost approximately $750 a month. Cheap hamburger is $8 a pound, gasoline is $6 a gallon, the general price of fruit is at least $2 a pound in season and a small head of Romaine lettuce is NIS 15 or $4.
Due to our ages, we really do need a place of our own. It is illegal today to be nomadic within the Israeli land borders. So, we would love to have a small place that we could put up a tent or a yurt until we ourselves could build more permanent housing. An off-grid cob house, a small homestead with a food forest, chickens and a milk-goat or two.
In a handful of months our rental contract will end in our current location. We simply can not afford to continue in our current level of expenses. I can't imagine as we are retirement age to have to continue to uproot our lives every few years and start over again.
We are those who have the witness of the Messiah and obey the commandments of the Father. Those who believe that loving others is how that the world knows we belong to Yeshua.
If you are those as in Acts chapter two who would give of your extra resources help to the Body of Messiah living in Israel please consider our needs in your giving and definitely in your prayers for our provision and direction.
