Hey there friends, family and other fantastic people. My name is Doug and I want to go to Africa to aid the International Anti Poaching Foundation.
The IAPF accepts volunteers to help
their patrol teams hunt down poachers who are primarily focused
on killing rhinos and elephants for their ivory. I want you to send
me to Africa to help the IAPF.
Why is this important? It's
important because entire species are being wiped out for profit. In some
instances, the profit from poaching animals helps fund other criminal and
terrorist activity. Want to save a species or two? Want to help stop bad
guys? Me too.
Where Your Funds Go
- Your funds will go to getting me to Africa. Travel expenses and such.
- Paying for the experience with the IAPF (they charge to host a volunteer and all the money goes directly to their foundation as a donation)
- Any extra funds I raise will be donated to the IAPF directly
- If I don't reach my entire goal, I'll donate all funds I've raised to the IAPF.
Layout:
Production and Distribution of Documentary: $200
Travel/lodging fees within Africa. (Volunteers are off on weekends and must find own accomadations): $300
- Your contribution will help conservation through direct action.
- I want to create an intense documentary on my experience there and use it create awareness for the IAPF.
- You and I will REALLY be making a difference. I'll be with an anti-poaching unit that will train me on how to detect, deter and destroy poaching efforts in Africa.
Other Ways You Can Help
As stated before, if I don't reach my goal, I will donate all funds raised to the IAPF.
If you don't feel like funding me, at least find it in your heart to donate to the IAPF directly. In any case, you can learn more about the problem poaching is causing.
