Short Summary

Ryan Young (Off With Their Heads / Anxious and Angry) and Brad Lokkesmoe (Dear Landlord / The Gateway District) are two adventurers who have decided to try and ride bicycles from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Denver, Colorado.  Since this is a huge venture for both of us, we decided to try and raise some money to donate to a charity that offers mental health resources to those who are in need. We chose Save.org, which is a Minnesota based organization that offers people in crisis helpful resources.

What We Need & What You Get

• I decided on a small goal of $1,000 to ensure that our project gets funded. Should we reach that initial goal, a small amount of money will be used for food/equipment/lodging on the trip. If not, we will sleep where we can and pack some Cliff bars. Anything beyond what we need will go straight to Save.org.
• We will be offering shirts limited to this campaign and other goodies to all of our backers.
• If we do not reach our initial goal of $1,000, everything made will be turned over to the charity regardless.

The Impact

• This is a great way to pay forward a little bit and help support an organization that helps those who are dealing with mental distress. If you have experienced any form of it, you understand how important these resources are for anyone struggling who may think they have nowhere to turn.
• Anxious and Angry is a podcast that aims to help people in our community who aren't used to asking for help. This project is an idea I had to branch out of our community and help a local Minnesota organization continue to make a difference.

Risks & Challenges

• We have decided that no matter how much money is raised, we will complete our ride regardless. My hope is that we can help out and also show that random acts of kindness and charity are at everyone's fingertips. We actually care about people that need help, even if we have differences in opinion and lifestyle.
