Our Story
Principle photography has now finished and we are looking for completion funds. The Shoot went really well and every one on board was absolutely fantastic! We have great footage and we can not wait to edit it together. Please view the teaser trailer and have a look at the photographs.
‘Behind the Green Curtain’ is the story of Marie, a lonely woman in
her mid twenties, has woken up after an all night party to find herself
abandoned and stranded in an unknown forest, seemingly cut off from the rest of
the world. The only hope of a way back comes when she stumbles across Adrianna,
a seasoned raver who seems to know neither a word of English nor where she is
going.
Set in Yorkshire, United Kingdom, the production host’s a wide range
of talented cast and crew that are donating their free time because they
realize and I hope you do as well, that this is a worthy film to be attached
to, in fact, belong to!
This short film will help these talented people to pursue and extend
their career paths within the film world, it will engage an audience, and
generally - to the bone – it’s going to be a great film!!!
The Impact
We know that there are nearly twice as many actresses as there are
actors, but female roles are nearly always written in regards to their
relations with men, motherhood or victimhood. We want to show how easy it
is to make a film with actresses playing lead roles that offer something other
than the generic. We also know that by doing this we're about four times
as likely to have a great cast than we would otherwise.
As long as one or a million people watch this then that is the
impact, we have something to say and we want the public to listen; with this
film we will tell a story, we will engage them & we will entertain them!
The ball has rolled and it’s not stopping now.
What We Need & What You Get
I hope we are not asking for much, small donations of money would do
the world of good, even a buck! This would help towards feeding our crew and
cast, whom are volunteering their time for free as they feel this is a worthy
project to further their career paths. As well as grub, transport, make up,
& costume cost’s, these play a big part in our budget, so with regards to
this, your generosity would help.
To boost the career’s of the talented people involved and so that we
can engage an audience globally, we need to create a successful after life for
the film. This involves composing a press pack, a professional printed folder
contacting glossy photos and written statements, including the distribution of
the film on a format such as DVD with a printed case and the forgotten cost of
postage for all this. Not only this, but the expensive cost of submitting the
film into film festivals around the world!

$20 – As well as a thank you credit of much love and an email
attachment of the finished film, a printed copy of the script, signed by the
talented cast and crew to your name, with a glossy group photograph taken
during shooting – it’s the least we can do for this amount!
$35 – YOU ARE A LEGEND! Not only will you receive a ‘special thank
you’ category credit, a personally signed script & group photo, you will
get a printed DVD signed by producer and director, personally signed to you.
$50 – WRITTEN WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE, so as well as receiving below,
producer or director (your choice) will Skype you at a time & day that
suits you for a general gin wag about film, thank you and life. It would be
great to get to have a chat with you, find out whom you are; you must be an
interesting and generous person and it would be our honour!
