Stretch goal 1: $2500

submit to more prestigious festivals, cover travel costs,
and pay for post-production services such as professional mixing and colorwork.

"Big Kids" follows Steve - not in high school anymore, not in the workforce, not ready to commit to his relationship, and 1000% not ready to be an adult. After Steve loses his Tamagotchi - an important childhood item - he enlists his equally aimless friends to track it down. Even if he finds the Tamagotchi, he won't find his childhood innocence it reminds him of. It's time for Steve to grow up and become a big kid.
After years of creating short films and finding success in the student film festival circuit, the production team of "Big Kids" is aiming to raise funding to take our craft and production quality to a professional level - with cinema-quality equipment, and immersive production design that we hope will build on and elevate the idiosyncratic and hyper-stylized worlds we've created in the past.

Our team is excited to bring this story to the screen - but in order to step up our game and approach this project with the style and quality it deserves, we need your help.
"Big Kids" is at its core a story about a generation of young people facing an unclear future, holding on to the nostalgia and pop culture from their familiar youth. In addition to design, food, and post-production fees (film festival fees, sound mixing, shipping costs) - the main reason we're raising money for this project is gear rentals. We plan to shoot on a rented RED Komodo, in conjunction with rented anamorphic lenses.
