Story Synopsis
When a civilized man from India, finds himself stuck in a vicious trap of human trafficking, it leads to some life-changing events which puts the life of his loved ones at stake. How will he win this dense battle of guilt and anxiety?
A contemporary adaptation of the famous Indian Holi festival (or festival of colours), Carmine is a fusion of cultures which manifests the composition of good vs evil. Filled with drama, emotions and traditions, the film will redefine the power of good by showing Vishnu’s journey through the society’s biggest issue. This film will not only inspire but also embrace the Cultural values of Mankind.
Budget
As students we know that filmmaking is a costly art form. In order to make this film happen, we are hoping to raise £3000 that will cover our crucial production costs. We will be filming all of this in London, UK.

Shounak Panchal has great attention to detail and is determined to make this film a success. After starting in commercial theatre and photography, Shounak's last 7 years have been developing his directing skills in short films, documentaries and music videos. Shounak has a strong passion for filming and acting, he aims of creating more cultural, moral and challenging content from his upbringing in India.
Shounak’s favourite film is: Roy (2015).

Alex Young is an enthusiastic and charismatic film producer. He has been passionately working on several different media platforms over the past 5 years like TV productions, music videos and short films. He has learnt to be well organised, whilst also motivating his team around him at all times. He is compelled to tell real stories and capture the audiences’ attention through inspiration, attention to detail and hidden meaning.
One of Alex’s favourite films is: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004).

Gedas Vajega shares the same artistic vision and attention to detail as Shounak for this film, they get on very well and are perfect for this film. Gedas was born in Lithuania and has always been fascinated with how films are shot and created since he was a kid. His real interest for DOP started when he attended numerous camera and lighting workshops that inspired him and lead him onto studying film in London. He has developed his DOP skills both technically and theoretically whilst studying at University of West London.
One of Gedas’ favourite films is: Samsara (2011).

Lavinia-Oana Franciuc is great at working under pressure. She understands how to tell stories and pays close attention to rhythm, pace and tension in her edits. Lavinia first starting studying Advertising and Journalism in Romania, however she’s always had a passion for telling stories and enhancing emotions through editing. She has worked on music videos, thrillers and even short-docs about the social issues of Kenya and the Indian culture.
Lavinia’s favourite film is: The Tree of Life (2011)

First things first: this film is getting made no matter the result. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
That being said, if we don't reach our goal, the funds we are able to raise will be allocated toward resources in descending level of importance to the completion of the production.
