As you know, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Robert Anton Wilson’s death, we (you + us) plan to revive the Cosmic Trigger Play with 23 shows in London during May 2017 and an ‘enthusiasts’ production in Santa Cruz on 23rd July 2017.  A veritable treat for those who experienced it in 2014, and a kickstart to their evolutionary development for all those who missed it first time around.

And so we will!

But how?

FUNding!

We (you + us) made possible the 2014 première of Cosmic Trigger Play by heeding the late Ken Campbell's wise words about grant money being "FUNdead", and instead raised a large slice of the budget here on Indiegogo.

That time, you fnordastic people contributed over £23K which lead us fools of the caper deep into the Perkmare as we attempted to produce & ship the myriad of complex stuff that we promised to you.

This time we want to make the play, and in particular the London shows, Bigger! Better! Bouncier! In order to do that with even more FUN (Perkmare be gone!), we have decided to apply for grant FUNding.

But there's a trick with FUNders - they need to see some hard cash and proof that we have a keen as mustard audience from the beginning.

The idea this time is they will provide a large slice of the (Bigger! Better! Bouncier!) budget, but we need to secure a small portion in advance. We do this by pre-selling tickets to the future...

A future in which you are settling down in your seat in 2017, the lights dim and the first booming words of Alan Moore's introduction echo around the theatre as Ishtar makes her way, naked, towards Chapel Perilous...

Risks & Challenges

There are many risks along the path to enlightenment. Entering Chapel Perilous and stumbling around in confusion for a million lifetimes; sinking into the lovely quicksand of philosophical inquiry but not following through with action; taking five drops instead of three on your sugar cube (or is that three drops instead of five?)

However going the route of FUNding raises one key risk:

Even with our portion of the budget in place, the project must still be assessed, adjudicated and judged. It still comes down to a FUNding stakeholder decision.

What if we raise our slice of finance and the FUNders don't unleash the FUNd?

Here's how it works...

STEP ONE

You pledge your cash for a Bio-Revival Voucher or two.

STEP TWO

The IndieGoGo campaign ends. Now we enter Chapel Perilous as we wait in a state of suspension for FUNding Judgement. This could take three months.

STEP THREE :)

We get the FUNding! Rejoice! We power forward to produce the play.

or...

STEP THREE :(

We don't get the FUNding! Weep!

And in this case, we will refund your money!

But wait! There's more!

Because of the way IndieGoGo works, we lose about £2.30 per £23 ticket in fees. We'd have to refund your pledge minus that £2.30 per ticket. So if we have to make a refund, we will also give you a Consolation Perk to make up for your loss.

This Consolation Perk will be a beautiful memory from the last Cosmic Trigger Play which we've held onto tight for just such a moment - you will get exclusive access to a video of some of the Conferestival Talks, which will blow your mind just right!
