Welcome to Crystal Brook Farm!
We are a Century Farm nestled in the Catskill Mts. of Upstate NY. Our farm was homesteaded in 1817 by Thomas Elliott who came over from Scotland in search of a better life for his family. The farm has been in the family for seven generations, and is home to purebred Jerseys, Hereford beef cattle, veal and poultry. We offer our grass fed beef, all natural cage free veal, pastured poultry and eggs to customers direct from the farm. Read more about us at www.crystalbrookfarms.com
Thank you for stopping by and viewing our campaign!

Our campaign consists of 4 levels in order of importance.
Goal Level 1
The focus of this campaign is to secure funds to replace our outdated wash system for our bulk milk tank. The system was purchased used over 30 years ago and it quit working. Currently we are washing the equipment by hand.
Updating this system will ensure we meet and exceed quality standards and pass inspections at the local, state, and federal level.
The cost of this project is $5000 and will be completed immediately. Funds will be used to purchase a new electronic timer/dispenser unit, tank wash unit and all necessary parts and accessories . Labor is included in the cost. The work will be done by a local company that has serviced our tri-county area for decades.
Contributors will be offered some pretty cool perks - check them out! From merchandise featuring our farm, to various food items - there is something for everyone!
Even if we don't reach our goal, your contributions will be applied towards the cost of this upgrade. We appreciate your help!
Goal Level 2
The second level of this campaign is to fund driveway/road repairs. After we spent thousands of dollars fixing the road 2 years ago, hurricane Sandy and this year's extremely heavy rains washed most of it away.
The cost of the road improvement is estimated at $3000. It will be completed as soon as possible, and we will be using a local company to do the repairs. A well maintained road is important for the safety and comfort of our truckers and customers, and is easier on our tractors and equipment.
Once the Level 1 goal is met, funds will be applied to this project.
Goal Level 3
The 3rd level of this campaign seeks to fund materials to enclose the ends of our 50 x 100 Coverall calf structure. Currently the ends are enclosed with plastic and tarps, which have been ripped and torn by the wind. We will enclose the ends halfway up with wood and metal siding, the top section is shade cloth to allow for ventilation while protecting against the weather. It is important to protect our calves and keep weather and wildlife out .
The cost of this project will be $1500 for materials, and we will do the work ourselves.
Once the Level 2 goal is met , funds will be applied to this project.
Goal Level 4
The 4th level of the campaign is directed towards the purchase of a 10 x 12 shed to house our growing farm stand. The shed will provide space for our freezers and coolers, and a comfortable place for customers to pick up their meats, eggs and produce. We would like to have it in place in time for the 2014 season.
The cost of farm stand shed - $3500.
Once level 3 goal is met, funds will be applied to this project.
