Dangerous Curve Between Jerusalem & Jericho is an examination of spiritual and romantic understanding; how the love of a higher power can manifest in our personal relationships. It is an exploration of the inter-connectivity of the faith systems within the context of personal experience and relationships. We feel that it's an important time for a show like this: a show about faith, love, and our divine humanity.
Christopher, José, and Alexa met and began collaborating in The Experimental Theater Wing at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. There, they each gained experience producing, directing and performing. They are thrilled about their first professional collaboration, which is a culmination and integration of their 3 distinct styles. The production features original text by Christopher including adaptations from the works of Rumi, Coleman Barks, the Quran, the Bible, and Richard Foreman. José is designing video, set, and costumes, and Alexa will oversee the production as choreographer and director. The show will be performed in a new form that Alexa has been developing throughout her last 2 years at NYU.
To date we have raised enough money to pay for the venue and rehearsal space, but we still need your help! We're seeking $4,000, which will go towards the design of the show, compensating our team, and marketing costs.
Please help us realize our vision by supporting and spreading the word about Dangerous Curve!
