Our stories take place in an alternate universe that is not the Star Trek Prime Universe, nor is it the Kelvin Universe, but is a universe somewhere in between. We call this the “Avalon Universe”. This gives us the opportunity to take creative freedom to tell unique stories with unique elements, and not violate Star Trek Canon in any way.

A mysterious alien artifact represents a grave threat to the security of the Federation, and a faction of the Klingon Empire will stop at nothing to capture it. While the command crew of the USS Excalibur races to discover the artifact's story first, they must battle their own personal demons.
Still reeling from a series of personal losses, First Officer Amanda Beck is driven to find meaning in the pursuit of the artifact's secrets. Captain Lance Ramirez struggles to command a ship that should never have been his. They must work together to forge a new future for the Excalibur and the Federation. Josh Irwin - Writer, Producer, Director of Photography, Editor
Josh has wanted to make fan films since childhood. A science fiction fan since the age of 5, Josh first picked up a camera at 14 and hasn't put it down since. In 2004, he earned a degree in Film and Video Production from Full Sail University in Orlando Florida. His career has spanned broadcast journalism, corporate video, and independent film. Josh brings not only his deep love of Star Trek to this project, but also his passion for visual storytelling and over 20 years of film and video production experience.
Victoria Fox - Writer, Producer, Director
Victoria has been a storyteller and performer since early childhood. She believes that stories, honestly and beautifully told, have an incredible and unique power. That belief is inspired in part by her love of Star Trek. While studying theatre in college, Victoria found opportunities to perform and work in film. She has since worked in a wide variety of roles both in front of and behind the camera including wardrobe, production design, script supervisor, assistant director, director, casting, and producer. She's hauled more than a few sand bags, wrangled her share of cables, and even been a stand in boom op. This broad array of experience helps Victoria provide a big picture perspective to every project along with her passion for character driven stories.

Samuel Cockings - CG Visual Effects Supervisor
![]()
A life long fan of Star Trek and a filmmaker in his own right, you may know Samuel from his films Temporal Anomaly and Convergence. You might be familiar with his name as the Co-Host/Co-Creator of the popular webseries Trekyards. Or, perhaps you have seen him in the credits of numerous other fan films. Either way, he is certainly a known favorite in the fan film community and we are happy to have him on board as part of our team.
The Avalon universe and this film in particular will feature brand new ship designs created by Samuel, exclusively for us. These new designs bring an updated look to our alternate universe, while maintaining the feel of something classically Star Trek.

One great example of the updated look for Avalon Universe is our shuttle craft. On the left is the original design by Matt Jefferies. Since the original was designed and built with the real life construction of models and sets in mind, this entails certain limitations. The shuttle on the right is our Avalon Universe design. This new design is clearly Trek, but takes a modernized approach to a story told in the same era, in a parallel universe. This is exemplary of how we approach design and storytelling in our universe.
Emmanuel J Rodriguez - Makeup Artist
Expanding the diversity of our universe means expanding our team to bring it to life. We are thrilled to be adding a very talented effects makeup artist to our team. Emmanuel has extensive experience creating character and effects makeup (and a whole lot of zombie heads!) for the popular series Zombie Go Boom. He'll be bringing our Klingon characters to life with custom sculpted headpieces and we can't wait to show you what he's working on!

THE NEUTRAL ZONE (formerly STAGE 9 STUDIOS) contains a full-scale suite of Constitution class starship sets including: the bridge, transporter room, engineering, sickbay, briefing room, captain’s quarters, auxiliary control, a 100 foot-long corridor, and much more! The name may be new but these incredible and unique sets are very familiar to the fan film community and well worth the trip all the way to Kingsland, GA! Ray and his team played a big role in the success of our first film last year and we are excited to be returning for this film!

This team has been invaluable on our last two productions and we're glad to be working with them again! Their studio includes a newly built bridge set that we will be able to customize with our own Avalon Universe style! Not only that, we'll be working with them to build NEW set pieces and props specific to this film! And best of all, this wonderful resource is practically in our own backyard!

While this is truly a labor of love made through the generosity of our cast and crew, there are still some heavy expenses that come with making any quality film project. In order to bring our story to the screen, your contributions will go toward:
-
Travel Expenses - We have to get all our cast/crew and gear to our locations! This means transportation costs and accommodations will be a significant part of our budget.
-
Makeup Materials - Transforming boring humans into exciting aliens requires some pretty extensive work and we need the right materials to work with. Latex, foam, paint, hair pieces, etc. And we still have to keep our humans pretty too!
-
Wardrobe - Uniforms are mandatory and we have a whole ship's crew to outfit. Not to mention our non-Starfleet characters. No naked Klingons allowed!
-
Food - We have to feed all these people! Hardworking crews need fuel to keep going through long shooting days and nothing ruins a great take like an actor's growling stomach.
-
The Small Stuff (AKA Consumables) - All the little odds and ends that tend to get used during a shoot. Batteries, bulbs, tape, first aid kits, sewing kits for on set repairs and adjustments, hairspray, sharpies, etc. It all adds up very quickly!

The more you give, the more we can do. These stretch goals can help us increase the quality of our production, and even make an investment in additional props and costumes for future films.
$10,000.00 - Indegogo and Perk fees covered
$12,000.00 - Additional Make up effects
$13,000.00 - Enhanced battle scenes with additional shots.
$15,000.00 - The creation of updated Phaser and Tricorders 3D printed and used in future films.

-
Proven Track Record - This is our 3rd film project in this universe. Our two previous films have both been completed on time and within budget. With over 200,000 views, both were well received and have quickly gained an audience. We've set high goals for this film and we truly feel that with your help, it will be even better.
-
Community Growth - We believe in the power of collaboration. There are a LOT of fan films out there and we know that supporting each other is key to building a stronger community and better resources for us all.
-
Make YourMark - Have you always wanted to boldly go but never found the chance? Well, here it is! Several of our perks allow you an opportunity to not only support us, but to actually be part of the film!

Check out the unique perks we have available! Original film and character posters, special edition ship posters created by Samuel Cockings, signed scripts and more! Opportunities are also available to have your voice in the film, or even name a character or ship!
