The Prototyping
We've been working on getting the unit right for some time.
Our 1st Prototype was useful in identifying problems unique to the meat curing process. These included the need for high levels or reliability and consistency from running parts. Namely Temperature and Humidity controls which need to be accurate and adjustable over time in order to produce a high quality and safe end product.
As a result our 2nd Digital Meat Safe prototype includes an Italian compressor and higher quality controllers. Testing of the 2nd prototype is complete and results have been excellent. Ease of use, safe food production and reliability have been the key factor we have been looking at to gauge our success.

Alterations will be made to the production version of the Digital Meat Safe. These will include the hanging mechanism replaced with rails and minor cosmetic changes. We don't anticipate having to make any alterations in order to obtain electrical import compliance, however we will do so if that is necessary.

advantage of making your own charcuterie is that you get to control the
ingredients. You also get to control the
quality. You’ll know that only top
quality meat and seasonings go into your family’s food which is something that can’t be said about
store bought charcuterie.
Making your
own Charcuterie is rewarding and satisfying. Sharing food with friends and
family is one of the great pleasures in life and hopefully we can help make it
easier and safer than ever before.
Risks & Challenges
After a lot of research and several designs we believe we've come up with the most economical unit we can produce whilst still meeting our main objectives of making a safe and reliable curing chamber.
Our production team is ready and prepared to go to full production at the completion of this campaign. We don't anticipate any delays but our focus will be on getting it right not getting it delivered. Delays, if any, to delivery times will be the result of stringent quality control checks or an excessive number of orders. We have plans to scale up production if necessary.
Formal EMC and Electrical compliance approvals will be the first thing we get under way. We have been given indicative approval based on test results and have no reason to think the formal approvals won't be granted. If there are any issues in this regard, it may result in delays but we don't anticipate that it will result in us not being able to fulfill our perk commitments.
Our production team has many years experience in equipment manufacturing working on design, manufacture and compliance testing. They have a plan in place and are ready to go.
We believe we have a thorough understanding of the finance requirements needed to fulfill our perk commitments, however our ability to complete the project and deliver Perks is also dependent upon the usual commercial risks associated with a start up venture.
Risk and challenges not within our control include, but are not limited to, all funds being passed on in full by payment services providers, required funding goals being met, supplier cost agreements, Regulatory and Macro economic conditions. Should we be unable to fulfill our Perk commitments, our first priority will be to offer full refunds to our backers.
