Overview
This campaign is important to me because Carter has an important story to be shared. Everyone is plagued with feelings of emptiness and loneliness, to some degree, within their lifetime. Disco Head seeks to comfort those who have felt as though they have lost their way. Being open to new people and new experiences can be eye opening and freeing. Never stop being an adventurer!

As Carter stumbles into a bathroom he decides to relieve himself in a bathtub, a drain is a drain right? And it’s all going to the same place; toilets are overrated. While peeing in the tub Carter hears a scream and quickly turns away to zip up his pants. When he turns back around Carter’s see’s a man sitting in the tub with pee dripping off a large disco ball where his face should be. After this unexpected meeting Carter and Disco Head spend the rest of the evening together. Their journey leds them to a korean karaoke bar where they drink and sing their worries away, and at the end of the night Carter does feel so empty anymore. On their journey Carter learns that “strangers” at times can have a bigger impact on one’s life than the ones that are closest to you and that sometimes doing things that make you feel uncomfortable is the only way to stay sane

Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Lindsey Oblitey and I am the writer and director of the short film, Disco Head. I am currently a senior at George Mason University, majoring in Film and Video Studies. Disco Head is my senior thesis film, and a culmination of everything I have learned from the past three years of being a student of film. This campaign is important to me because I have to be able to see my vision come to fruition on the big screen and hopeful this film will lead to bigger opportunities. I am super excited to share this journey with you becuase everyone feels a little helpless and lost sometimes!

In order for Disco Head to reach its full potential my team and I are going to need your help! Any form a donation makes a huge difference, even if it is just one dollar or a share on social media, and your donations to this film will come with some perks, and everyone likes perks. The perks include items such as marketing material, special thanks in the film credits, and other swag!

Where is the Money Going?

The donation that you make today will go directly towards the film. Your contributions will be going toward feeding the wonderful Disco Head crew and cast members, transform different filming location into beautiful works of art, help send this film off to film festivals, and help provide my team with the necessary tools that are needed to make this film a reality!

Thank you so much for the support and I hope to see you at the films showcase in May 2018 at George Mason University. If you have any question, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact us .
