Why Our Country Needs A Delivery Driver App So Drivers Can Make Home Deliveries Of Healthy Local Food From Small Farms To Every Home In America!

Society has evolved in a symbiotic relationship with small farms.  Small farmers would raise high quality food with close oversight and attention, and people in the cities would buy the food, in turn providing a living for the small farmer.  The food chain was short.

With the industrialization of food, the food chain became long with dependencies in the middle.  Small farmers were forgotten.  Food quality went down and disease went up.  The small farms never went away, they just haven’t had an outlet for their food.

In the recent global pandemic food shortages were felt everywhere.  Store shelves were empty when we desperately needed them to be full.  Where will we get our food during the next crisis when big food factories shut down again?

Diet related diseases continue to rise every year and our food supply is not providing us with food that is healthy enough to sustain a disease free life.The current long-chain food model is fragile during crisis and disease causing.  It’s not serving society very well.  It has too many dependencies in the middle of the chain, which only makes food cost more than it needs to.  Together we can remove 90% of those high priced, unnecessary dependencies. 

The solution is a delivery driver app for small farm food so that the average household can get the convenience of home delivery of fresh local food at a reasonable price.  With crowdfunding we will build a delivery driver app into the already existing online FarmMatch.com small farm marketplace.  This will cost about $150,000 in software development.

With a small farm food delivery driver app, we create a battalion of drivers that delivers fresh healthy local food from small farms to homes in cities.  In doing so, we tap into our nation’s vast food supply that sits dormant in the countryside.  All that food is made available to people in cities, and creates a more secure food system for society.  It also gives us as individual's access to better quality food so that we can live healthier lives and make more memorable experiences with our loved ones.

There are delivery driver apps for the restaurant industry and for the grocery store industry, but what about small farms?  Together we can democratize and create a food system that serves the people and not big food corporations.

Our Story

At the age of 10 years old I (Max Kane) was diagnosed with degenerative crohn’s disease at the University of Chicago.  I ate a diet of industrial food and experienced horrific abdominal pain.  A nutritional mentor coached me on changing my diet away from industrial food, and I started buying food from local farms in my area.  My health blossomed!  I put on over 50 pounds of healthy athletic weight, and my health got to the point where I didn’t need medications anymore.

I eventually saw the need for technology for small farms and FarmMatch.com was born with the mission to serve society by creating a healthier, more secure food system that will serve generations to come.

What We Have Accomplished

FarmMatch.com was founded in 2012 and since then the web app has been working in beta to build features around the needs of a small local food chain society.  The app has successfully facilitated over 600,000 orders of local food to thousands of homes in America while pushing over $30 million dollars in sales to small farms.
