Feed the Homeless

This is the 25th time our team of volunteers will get together to feed the homeless. We will set up a portable kitchen in Oppenheimer park (better know as needle park) at 10:00 AM on June 24th 2012.

We are non paid, 100% volunteers and we give freely of our time to serve the community as we feed the approximately 2,300 homeless people

These people will be served a DECENT MEAL consisting of salad, real potatoes, fresh meat (steaks) and real vegetable (not canned stuff boiled beyond taste) with dinner rolls, coffee and tea and an actual dessert. The meal will be fresh cooked on site and served until the food runs out.

What We Need & What You Get:

We need your help financially:

  • Every $3.00 raised will feed one person
  • Every homeless mother and child will be served a full meal first
  • The more money we raise, the more people we can feed
  • There has always been a continuous line until the food runs out.

The Impact

We strive to help the homeless have a full belly on decent food AND

  • To date we have helped 7 women leave the streets
  • We have assisted estranged family members reconnect and this has resulted in their children having an opportunity to move away from the Eastside
  • The local newspapers photograph and write articles about the incident, influencing others to pitch in with gifts of clothing and sleeping bags.

Other Ways You Can Help

Some people just can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help:

  • All we ask for is whatever spare change you can offer. You can help by asking your friends and relatives to help out as well. As little as $3 will go a very long way.
  • Please do use the Indiegogo share tools!

And that’s all there is to it.
