Welcome to Zine Comics and our comic, Forerunners!
Preface: Some of you may have seen my previous attempt to get Forerunners off the ground. Unfortunately we fell short of our goal of $8,000. However, we don't give up at Zine Comics. Like I've posted later in this description the comic is finished. Therefore I'm not going to let it sit on a dusty shelf. So, instead I've revamped it into this campaign. You can get your digital edition for $5 or digital edition and poster for $20. This way we can still get the comic to you to read and begin building our fanbase that will be excited for years to come for our future projects. About the comic
Forerunners came from asking the question, what if super villains were to gain super powers before super heroes? How would the world react? Would it even survive? In the first issue, a news reporter goes to cover a story about a science experiment on editing DNA. During the experiment, the test subject gains unexpected abilities and begins eliminating any witness to her transformation. It's up to our reporter to escape the massacre in order to warn everyone, but was her transformation just a fluke or a calculated test run? Read and find out!
Hello from Zine Comics
My name is Ezekiel Buchanan and I created Zine Comics to get back to the when comics were entertaining. I've always been interested in telling stories, so I created this company to combine my passion for storytelling and my love for comics to bring you stories that you will enjoy!
Down below you can see a sample of a few pages from the book. And the best part of this campaign is that I accidentally did all the work up front, so all I need is to go to print. Yes, you read that right.

You've heard these values thrown around comicsgate a lot, but I think people have forgotten the core values that started this movement. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't. That's why this company was created. This is our company values:
The customer is first and foremost. You are the fans. It's up to you if the comic universe begins or not, that's why you are our priority. We wanted to create something you enjoy and will want to keep participating in, in future campaigns. It's also why we finished the book first. So you don't have to wait around forever to get your copy.
Politics are a not allowed. Personal politics aren't allowed in our books. We don't care if you are left or right. We care that you find our story entertaining.
We bring you the best quality. We know how frustrating it can be when you buy a comic that looks like someone slopped it out just to get it on the stands. We took our time and now it's fully ready to be sent to you!
What We Need & What You Get
We are asking for $8,000. The reason for this is to pay the artist and for paying for printing costs.
We are keeping our perks simple since we are just starting out. If all goes well then on our next campaign we can add some more perks. Our perks include a book mark and a poster by the great artist Preston Asevedo.
If we don't reach our goal, then the funds go back to you!
Risks & Challenges
This is the first campaign we have ever done. Therefore we are going to have to learn as we go along. But given time, any obstacle that is put in front of us we will overcome in order to get our comic to you.
One thing you don't have to worry as a reader is when will the comic be ready for print. Our comic is primed and ready and is only waiting for us to hit our goal before we send it to the printing press.
