A little about me

I am the artist known online as Christy "Goldenwolf" Grandjean (and sometimes just Goldenwolf)!  I am a mostly self-taught professional artist well known for my anthropomorphic animal characters and unique whimsical style.  My work is quite visible and wide-spread across the internet and I am currently licensed with The Mountain, Inc. (popular t-shirt company) and I have been published in several magazines and other publications.  My art has even been featured on the hit MTV series "Teen Wolf"!

This is my third sketchbook volume that follows my wildly successful two previous volumes.  These "sketchbooks" are collections of drawings I have done for clients, or friends, or for myself, plus doodles, scribbles, ideas, vignettes, and just plain silliness from my own personal sketchbooks over the years. Others have enjoyed the previous volumes greatly!

I need your help getting funded so that I can cover my costs of printing a first run of these sketchbooks. 

The Sketchbook

Same format and size as Volumes 1 and 2:
8.5" X 11" Perfect Bound Paperback
Black and White interior
Glossy Full Color Cover
PG-13 Content (suitable for teens and up)

63 Pages full of my sketches and drawings from over the years, including many never before seen works!  There will be some old, and lots of new in this volume so there will be tons of great stuff to enjoy! (FYI I will never repeat stuff that has been used in previous volumes so that the art in each of my sketchbooks is fresh)

What I Need, and Perks!

I would like to do an initial printing run of 200 books, which will cost approximately $1,000 to get printed via lulu.com.  This includes the cost of proofs and the price of shipping all those sketchbooks to me.  Once they are printed they will be available on my website, www.goldenwolfen.com, and at the various art shows and conventions I attend throughout the year.

I am offering a few funding tiers with perks for your contribution:

• $20 - You will receive an unsigned copy of the sketchbook
• $35 - You will receive a signed copy of the sketchbook, plus an 8.5" X 11" open edition, unmatted print of your choice from my website.
  
• $40 - You will receive a signed copy of the sketchbook, plus a signed copy of either Volume 1 or Volume 2.
  
• $50 - You will receive a signed copy of the sketchbook, and two 8.5" X 11" open edition, unmatted prints from my website.
  
• $60 - You will receive a signed copy of all three sketchbooks!
  
• $100 - You will receive a signed copy of the sketchbook with a custom sketch in pencil, from the artist, on the inside of the sketchbook!  Two-word descriptions only, such as "Anthro Wolf", "Werewolf", "Tiger Dude", "Fire Dragon", "Fairy Princess", etc.  These will be rough sketches on a blank page just inside the cover.  Please be non-specific, I will not do a sketch named "my character" or anything like that.  Allow an additional 6 - 8 weeks for delivery after the sketchbooks are printed.

Stretch Goal #1

IndieGoGo Special Edition Sketchbook

If we can reach $4,000 in the campaign I will do an exclusive centerfold sketch just for this sketchbook, and only available to campaign contributors! This sketch will never be featured in any other publication of mine, ever, and will include a personal message to my contributors.

Shipping

Shipping is extra on top of what the perk costs, and IndieGoGo will add it to your total.  I will be doing my best to get these sketchbooks out to you within two months of the campaigns end, however I cannot guarantee an exact shipping date as there are always factors out of my control. I will aim for the sketchbooks to get to everyone no later than six months after the campaign ends.

(A note on International shipping: The USPS just raised their rates this January, and while I ship as cheaply and cost-effectively as I can, the new rates are very high. There is nothing I can do about this. My apologies.)
