Who We Are
We are two recent high school graduates with an idea to change the world at little to no cost. How many times do you see somebody on the street begging for work? We provide free recycling services that will soon become ways of generating charitable donations for homeowners and small businesses, and also give people in need valuable job experience and entrepreneurship skills. We provide information and support to those who want to change the way their lives are headed at no cost to anybody.
What We Need
Getting 501(c)(3) certification in California is expensive. For our business model to work, we need this certification with both the IRS and California, and we need to host a database of houses on our website. Also, we need to provide bins to households and small businesses with our logo on it. Some money for promotion is also required to expose this idea to as many people as possible. By the way, none of this money goes to either of the two founders; it all goes to the charity.
The Impact
Not only does this program keep cans and bottles and e-waste out of landfills, it gives people economic and social mobility at the same time. It also gets money flowing through the economy, and potentially driving down overall metal prices because of increased recycling (of course this is a big goal, but we hope to hit it).
Other Ways You Can Help
If you're in the Los Angeles area, you can contact us and join our volunteer team. You can also spread the word about this organization, and you can also help by providing legal services, programming services, or help us out in just about any way possible (cookies are also much appreciated!). If you're a business, sign up on our website and we'll put you in our database for houses and let you know when we can work with you.
