Born in Wyoming, Michael Ray Nott is a street photographer living in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally influenced by Garry Winogrand, whom he studied under in the early 80s in Texas.
GUITAR TOWN is the first of a series of street photography monographs that take the form of an 8.5x11, 48-page, perfect-bound volume.
Your kind monetary assistance will fund the printing and distribution of future publishing efforts. The first volume of GUITAR TOWN has been produced and a signed edition can be yours immediately. For larger contributions there is a bundle of GUITAR TOWN along with other street photography monographs by Michael Ray Nott.
Being that Nashville is called Music City USA, GUITAR TOWN is a project that developed naturally. Live music is being played everywhere from the streets to the stages, this project documents that passionate energy.
GUITAR TOWN transcends the documentary specifics of the moment, finding complex abstract images that and hopefully evoke stories in the minds of the viewer.
