The Clifton Players are dedicated to creating opportunities for people to embrace and express their creative spirit. We are an artist driven company where the ensemble members each has a vote in most all decisions: a democracy of both equity and non-equity actors, directors and designers who call the Clifton Performance Theatre (CPT), home. In our home, we offer camps, workshops and classes for all ages, outreaching in the community, while bringing thought-provoking plays in our theatre space, in the historic Gaslight district of Clifton.

"August: Osage County" 2015
We like to call CPT, a theatrical "sand box" where we engage, inspire, entertain and challenge audiences with theatrical productions that range from the classics to new works; we train and support the next generation of theatre artists; we provide extensive and unique arts education programs that promote life-long learning to a diverse community; and we celebrate the essential power of the theatre and the playwright to illuminate our common humanity and our city as an arts destination.

In addition to our adult ensemble, our 9 year youth programming has proven very successful with helping young people grow in their social skills and theatrical talent.

Here's just some of the feedback we get from our parents of our youth program participants:
My 6 year old son participated in last week's production of Peter Pan and the experience had a profoundly positive effect on him. He came home each day after camp excited to tell us about the process of creating the show and about the goals he set for himself. The nurturing and supportive atmosphere built his confidence and empowered him to do his best in something he had never tried before. During the car ride home after the first show on Saturday, he kept saying "I'm so proud of myself!" - Jessica
This summer was my daughter’s first experience with Clifton Performance Theater camp. She had a great time and enjoyed the kids, the work, and performing (which she had never really done except for the occasional school music class recital). But I was completely in awe of the result that you are able to produce in just one week’s time. It was truly an impressive feat! And I really enjoyed your introduction and wrap-up with the kids pre- and post-performance on the weekend. It was evident that the camp is much more than an enjoyable theater educational exercise; it is an opportunity to build confident, goal-setting, and risk-taking kids. - Beth
