* Update 11/24/2013
The first wave of the CDRC's relief efforts has served more than 10,000 families in 8 provinces including: Leyte (Tanauan, Albuera, Palo, Alang-alang), Samar (Basey), Cebu (Medellin), Capiz (Tapaz), Iloilo (Barotac Viejo, Estancia, Islas de Gigantes), Negros (Cadiz City), Masbate (Ezperanza) and Palawan (Coron).
As Typhoon Haiyan efforts move from relief to recovery, the CDRC is working to provide the affected communities with food, shelter, planting seeds and farm inputs, tools and supplies for the repair of fishing boats, and psychosocial support.
Thank you again for your support. Please keep spreading the word.
* Update 11/13/2013
WE DID IT! Thanks to you, we exceeded our goal of $5,000 in just 72 hours — and with 20 days still left in the campaign.
Please be assured that any donations we raise from this point on will continue to fund CDRC’s emergency relief efforts.
Also remember that CDRC’s work does not end with providing urgent relief. CDRC invests heavily on rebuilding lives and helping the poorest and most vulnerable communities be better prepared for natural disasters. In a country that typically gets hit by more typhoons than any country in the world—and lies in the Pacific Ring of Fire—this is very important work.
Thank you so much for your support. Maraming salamat po!
