In the past few weeks, persistent heavy rains have caused flooding in the Bolivian department of Beni, and especially in the town of Rurrenabaque. 52 people have died so far, of them 11 in Rurrenabaque from mudslides.

The streets are flooded. There is no electricity, no drinking water. 54.493 families have been affected, 1,829 houses have been destroyed.

And of course - there is no tourism. The road from La Paz to Rurrenabaque have been closed, due to mudslide damage. The Ministry of Tourism has warned tourists not to arrive in Rurrenabaque. This means that the people of Rurre, which live from tourism, are suffering from lack of funds, lack of work - as well.

This is where we come in. 

We all know Puma, we all traveled with him, got to know him, fell in love with his spirit and love of tourists and joy of life. And now, times are hard. And we can help him, just like he helped us discover the jungles of Bolivia.
