Hobart Festival of Women Writers is returning in 2022 to an in-person gathering.

We persisted!  Despite the uncertainties of the global pandemic, we have continued to provide a platform for the work of women writers. Created in 2013, Hobart Festival of Women Writers has provided an annual weekend of cultural activities including public readings and writing craft workshops in Hobart, New York, the Book Village of the Catskills. We suspended the in-person Festival for two years in favor of a virtual Festival because of the global pandemic. Happily for 2022, we are returning to a full in-person gathering with an outstanding line-up of women writers who will offer workshops and readings. There will a book sale table with works by all of our participating writers, as well as, an exhibit of art by women entitled, "STILL LIFE: Objects Of Desire" curated by Tracy Jacknow.

We need your help

As always, we've depended upon the generosity and camaraderie of our supporters. YOU have made it possible for us to succeed and grow. You've had our back for TEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS. We could not have done it without you. Your dollars - all of which go to fund our programming - are vital to our survival. We receive some funding from state and local sources, but our Indiegogo Campaigns have provided much needed additional support. All of our staff volunteer their energies to The Festival and we've been fortunate to have the support of the residents of Hobart and the crucial support of the Hobart Book Village.

Help us keep going into the future!

We are committed to fostering the creative growth of women writers. We 're also firmly committed to supporting the arts in New York State. Help us to keep the excitement in the Hobart Book Village. Help us keep going into the future.

All contributions are welcome
