Hosea is the story of a minister assigned by God to marry a prostitute named Gomer. She's unfaithful and has children by other men during their marriage. He forgives her and takes her back in obedience to God.

Director’s statement by Dezmond Peterson

We are raising money for a short film. I say we because I couldn’t do this without my team who are the most talented people in the world. We are in the preproduction stage of filming Hosea. Hosea is a biblical story of a prophet who was assigned by God to marry a prostitute. She commits adultery and has children by other men. Hosea forgives her and takes her back in obedience to God. By contributing you will help me to achieve ministering a powerful message that I believe will change lives. My passion is ministering the word of God through films. We never know the war that may be going on in someone’s mind. Success to me is someone applying something relative from my film that may be a replica of what’s going on in their own life. My messages are not only birthed from knowledge, but experiences. Experiences that I have gone through and overcome by the grace of God. What he has done for me, he will do for others. Your contributions will help me spread that message all over the world.

This film is so important to me because it’s a wonderful story of how God forgives us and takes us back when we have been unfaithful to him. Many people feel they are not worthy or God could never use them because of their mistakes. I have been the victim of this false mindset. I want them to know God loves us unconditionally regardless of what mistakes we have made. He specializes in changing lives to compliment his plan for us. God forgives us and eagerly awaits to restore us back into a relationship with himself to carry out the glorious plan he has for our lives.

What does $6000 get?

We have set a $6000 budget. This is the amount of funding estimated to doing this

Director Bio

My name is Dezmond Peterson. I have been active in the film industry for 10 years. It began during childhood before being distracted with a love for football. Later my ambition in becoming an actor was resurrected during college when auditioning for a play. I went on to develop my craft doing stage productions. I gradually made the transition into doing films which has become my strongest  passion. With a resume credited with years of experience from theater to film I decided to move to Los Angeles. As a struggling actor I sat in a park in Burbank searching for creativity on how to become successful in this business. Then I just started writing. I began writing these stories that had been locked in my head for many years. Before long I had an entire film. It became clear to make a switch onto a journey that had been there all along. To make inspirational faith based films for people all around the world. I started What About Them Productions.

 The Impact

What About Them Productions had recent success with a film entitled Oh Ye Of Little Faith. A short film about finding your soul mate that is divinely designed by God to help you with your God given destiny. Here is a short clip from the just released Oh Ye Of Little Faith:

We received strong feedback and responses about the impact that was left on the lives of our audience. My goal is to accomplish the same purpose with Hosea. The target for each film is to help one person more.
