In light of the increased challenges Myanmar people face, we are launching a new campaign on the I Do Nation fundraising platform. This is an opportunity to assist and support vulnerable people in Yangon. Please support the campaign if you can!

I Do Nation - What We Have Achieved

On April 17th, in response to COVID 19 "I Do Nation" was created to assist vulnerable people in Yangon. I Do Nation rallies support, contributions in kind, and funding in order to:

- Make weekly direct cash transfers of 10,000 MMK to families in need

- Distribute food support

- Distribute personal and shared medical protective equipment, particularly masks and hand sanitisers

We do so directly through a phone bank of 30 volunteers focused on organising cash transfers, and through our network of community committees and the Yangon Neighbourhood Network consisting of 50 local CBOs, NGOs and other grassroots organisations.

Between April and December 2020, I Do Nation:

- Raised and disbursed over 80,000,000 MMK (> 55,000 USD)

- Distributed 48,109 meals

- Distributed 8,000 litres of hand sanitiser, 20,000 facemasks, and placed 20 durable handwashing stations in high traffic locations

- Reached 45,000 people with this critical support

** Figures not updates for 2021 yet!!

I Do Nation Phase III - We Need Your Help Again!

Recent weeks have seen a lot of upheaval, and Myanmar people are facing increased suffering.

Based on the work done so far,  we have all the infrastructure in place to directly reach and support people with (mobile) cash and food.

We once again need your help to provide support!
