Short Summary
A young woman confined by her past must choose between the person who loves her most, or her own freedom.
Inside every home is a secret that no one else knows about. 20-year old Violet has lived alone with her mother Irene, ever since her father left when she was 13. Under the control of her protective mother, Violet's been made to believe she has a mental illness caused by the trauma of her father's abandonment. Realizing she's trapped inside a world of lies, Violet fights for freedom at the risk of losing the person who'd do anything for her.
What We Need & How You Can Help
YOUR donation is INCREDIBLY helpful for getting this project made. Making a film not only requires a story and actors, but also finding the right locations, equipment, and food to keep our cast and crew happy and ENERGIZED are critical!
- In order to bring this story to life, we need the proper LOCATION:
-
THE HOUSE itself is essentially its own character. Therefore, choosing the perfect Airbnb that captures the right essence and look is very important. We plan to use this house for a total of two nights, which will most likely cost between $200-$300 a night.
-
GEAR: camera, lighting, grip, sound
-
FOOD: everyone needs energy to keep going through those long days of shooting!
What YOU Get In Return
ANY amount guarantees a "Special Thanks" shoutout in the credits!
- Any donation of $50 and over will allow you an early look at the trailer
- A donation of $100 and over will get you an Executive Producer credit
The Impact
- This project explores both gripping and universal themes such as: family, love, abuse, trust, mental illness, identity
- Not only will this film tell a psychologically captivating, beautiful, and emotional story, but it will highlight some incredibly relevant and important topics
