Our Story

DeadLine Production began its journey with a nameless play four years ago. Since then I, Lisa Ward and Dr. Tameka Doc Wright have envisioned DeadLine and its young people being seen and heard by hundreds of people. We also saw them selling in stores and getting recognition for being talented young writers, singers, photographers, producers, actors, actresses, authors, play writers, fashion designers and young business professionals.  We knew there was a need to give young people an outlet in the entertainment business and business over all.  We just wanted them to know that there is a better and more tasteful way of going about it.  We were also rappers in our younger days, so we knew what was needed to make it and what obstacles they would be facing.  We wanted it to be better for them. We didn’t want the young people to feel as if they had to degrade themselves in order to make it in the business of entertainment anymore. We also wanted to open a door way for young people to come so they could get the right tools to put out a professional product that could be taken to any record label, model agency, film company, management company or self-publishing company and say with pride “here is the product of my work.”  We wanted to give them something that no one could ever take from them and that was to be a part of a play sound track and program that would showcase their talents and work. So we created Deadline Production as an outlet that would help young people reach their dreams. Our vision is to have the future generation of young people who are in and out of our community, discover their talent, creativity, and give them confidence through a series of uplifting, self-created projects like the “Arising Phoenix “CD that we put out in 2011 that is now being seen and heard around the world. This CD is now on ITunes, CDBaby, and Amazon at this very moment. The young people on this project can now say they are a professional artists or writter. We were able to fund this project with the help of foundries, and donations from sponsors.  But we have now come to a point where we need more assistance in order to help other young people. We have so many youths asking us to help them and give them the same opportunity, but funds are not available and we are unable to do so.  I ask you, could you please help us make more dreams come true for other young people and help us further the ones we have already started. We have also uploaded some of our video work for you to see what we have done with our youth and what projects that they have been a part of so far.

The Impact

The impact of this project on our young people has been amazing.  We have encouraged our youth to take on other areas of business from being in the front line to learning the back end of the business such as: promotion, directing, writing, producing and photography.  We have given our youth a doorway to their dreams. We have kept them off the streets. We have also made a doorway for Gospel, R&B, teen Hip Hop artists as well as a line of producers who wanted to have clients that would really use their music and do something with it outside of just making mix tapes or just passing it out to just a few people on the streets. They might not have a lot of record sales but their work is seen around the world through the projects that we have done and are continuing to do.  We have given our young people hope and faith. What I would have to say the biggest impact that we have done with our youth is that they are now going out into the community and telling their story to their peers and everyone.  They were once the ones that were shy didn't talk much or even had a clue on how to reach their dreams. Now I have young people telling other young people what is needed or how to go about getting it. The young people that are a part of our movement tell other young people that it takes hard work, great mentors and faith to go out and reach for their dreams. They now can tell people there is someone out there to help them “Deadline Production”. The second impact would be them calling us up with new projects or ideas they would like to do. They are now dreaming bigger because we tell them they can do anything they want to as long as they have education, faith and hard work behind all their dreams. So you tell me, is this a project that we could really do without. I would have to say no, our job is to impact the future.  Please help me and Dr. Wright keep their faith alive and open a doorway to their dreams. Help us keep changing the life of a young person. Help us keep our young people visible so they can impact other young people to do the same. Remember it takes a village to raise a child.  Here are statements from supporters and interns of DeadLine Production on the impact that we have done with DeadLine Production in our community and with our young people lives

Dear Readers & Supporters

In life we grow up with instill dreams and promises until that someone or something takes its’ pure innocence from you. To only be reminded that you had it all along; so who's really your obstacle in reality - Yourself. We begin to forget as we get older that dreaming is gold and pursing is a sense of mortality that we wish to accomplish, because dead end jobs cannot fulfill our needs so why do we settle for a satisfactory grade level.  Are we so far gone that the single whispers from the lips of our ancestors instilled in us is now washed away from the ocean of lost hopes.  Are we so far gone that our very own body holds no value to the man who created this system for his or her dreams to go down the drain. Are we so far gone that gambling the lives and souls holds no promise to the Mother Nature great divine inferno.  Are we really living or walking dead now? Love's unbreakable phoenix is being robbed and taken for granted with the doves of loves being imprisoned by those who lost all sight of its true value and power. Hard enough living in a society that gives you two (2) strikes when you are born; but to pursue your dreams -  the dreams that history tried to erase, the dreams that was shoved up our A, the dreams that we shall say goodbye to as we walk to a predesigned future.

Being a Dream Warrior means fighting to achieve your dream that said 100% bye. Dreaming a dreamer dreams dreamt satisfaction of the soldier men marching to the beat of their own drums. Dreaming a dreamer dream dreamt the cage we are held from the true goal in life as we look beneath the feet which symbolize our potential.  Dreaming a dream dreams dreamt that no-more dreams will be a gold-mine for the graves that perish back within the earth.

In life we grow up with instill dreams and promises, until that someone or something takes its pure innocence from you. We have to wake up those lost dreams and the souls from the unforgivable phoenix and rise from it ashes.

Sincerely,

Raymond Woods Jr.

Raymond Woods is a photographer, writer, blogger but most of all he's becoming a true dream warrior with the help of Deadline Production and Tahj Entertainment.

Dear Readers:

My name is Michael S. Brown Jr.  I recently decided that I wanted to be a graphic designer.   As you may know, at first no one starts off great, so you basically have to strive to get where you want to go in life.  Keeping that in the fore front, that’s where Deadline Production & Tahj Entertainment comes to mind.  With the help of both they were able to give me that stepping ladder to not just start off a career that I really want to pursue, but also to help me design things for them while having the love and support of each member.  They also gave me the confidence to approach other clients, better my talents, and improve my communication with a variety of different people.  Out of all the clients I dealt with, so far they are the ones I feel most comfortable around.  So why not let them expand that type of love to the community.  I really can’t think of anything at the moment, but I know when we all put our heads together there are ways that could support their movement, so please make a donation.  Overall DeadLine & Tahj is a great cause, what their trying to do is remarkable, and seeing that in Delaware there is not a lot of opportunity. You can be the first to change that.  Once again I am Michael S. Brown Jr. and I would like to thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Michael S. Brown Jr.

Dear Readers:

Hi my name is Ex-Clavon and DeadLine Production helped me tremendously when I had nothing, like a lot of us young people.  They gave me my first single called “I want you back” written by Dr. Tameka” Doc” Wright on the Arising Phoenix album. That alone is an honor.  I would like to release my own album and work on my art, but with no funds it is very hard for Deadline to do. They work very hard each and every day to keep me on the right track and I know that if they reach their goal; that will just give them the tools that they need to help me as well as others.  DeadLine Production helps young people succeed in entertainment and business. I know that your readers can embrace what greatness that DeadLine Production can do if they just get the support that they need. So please help them help people like me.

Sincerely,

Ex-Clavon

Dear Readers from DJ DestrucShawn:

I am music professional and I’m writing to you as a letter of reference on behalf of Deadline Productions. I am affiliated with both Dr. Tameka “Doc” Wright and Ms. Lisa Ward who run this organization. Although my affiliation with these two individuals has been limited to two years, I feel as though I have known them for much longer. I have developed a great deal of respect and admiration for them as a unit as well as individually.  These ladies have a great deal of knowledge as to what it takes to create and produce professional and quality material. As much as they can do independently they will do independently, in which keeps them in touch with the hard work and dedication that it takes to make it in this business. They are very enthusiastic and passionate about promoting good music with a positive message in which is what we need in today’s society. They have a great range of artists within their scope and they are developing them into being upcoming stars. Deadline Productions has a great deal of compassion to educate and offer opportunities to the youth whom often fall under the radar due to lack of professional guidance. This organization provides those resources to young individuals who have hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment field. With your support for this organization, this company can expand and grow to its fullest potential. Please accept my statement of reference as a small token of recognition towards an organization that’s destined to achieve enormous success.

Sincerely,

Shawn Thompson aka” DestrucShawn” DJ/Turntablist/ A&R for Kwano Sincere Entertainment Firm

Dear Readers & Supports

I am writing today in support of Deadline Production and all of the great work that they do within our local community.  I have known and worked with Lisa Ward since the Fall of 2008 and have seen first-hand how much she truly cares about the young people that she is affiliated with and helping them take their hopes and dreams to the next level.  This work is obviously her passion and has been for a long time.  I know that you will hear from many of them how much they have been helped on an individual basis, but I have been very impressed by the amount of dedication and effort that she puts into all of the individual projects and young people on a daily basis.  This mission is a genuinely a labor of love that she and Dr. Tameka Wright carries out every single day.  I hope that you will take the time to consider helping in any way that you’re can.

Thanks for your time

Sincerely,

Brenda Rabeno

What We Need & What You Get

The funds are going to go towards equipment, promotion, legal filling fees for our 501C. If you have any question please feel free to contact us by email at deadlinemanagement71@yahoo.com, tahjentsisterlisa@yahoo.com, or tahjent@gmail.com   I will be happy to answer any question you might have.  Here is a list of the items that we will be using the funds for:  1 or 2 T3i Video camera, 1 Photo Camera and Photo Lights, Studio Equipment like: Mac computer, MIC, Speakers, 501c, Radio and Internet Promotion, Mix & Master Team for our upcoming music project, a legal retainer fee for an entertainment lawyer which will help our youth and team get to the next level with in the entertainment business.

This will make us a more in house affection team and company. By having our own equipment now we will no longer have to stop or canceled any of our future projects to come with your help.  When we have to cancel that kills a child’s hopes and dreams and we don’t want that to happen anymore. By adding a lawyer to our team that will also help them be seen with in this business and make sure that they get what is legal due to them. That’s why we are really hoping you see the need for our movement and campaign.

Other Ways You Can Help

You can call any of the radio station, college station and request any of the songs that you like to help our youth get there song on the radio and into radio rotation. You also can go to youtube and put your comments on each of the videos you like. But over all just tell a friend about our campaign on facebook, twitter, or any of the social networking sites can be a big help to our movement. But if you can please make a donation to our campaign, any amount is grateful. It can help in so many ways, so join our team and make Dream Warriors.
