was born from the idea that these two passions need not be mutually exclusive. At first glance, coffee and health may seem like an odd combination, but in our minds, they come together to form the perfect marriage. Think about it: what better way to improve your physical and mental well being than by fortifying the cup of coffee that’s already an integral, enjoyable part of your day? It's so simple, and it does not require you to change your lifestyle at all.
We identified three major areas to focus our Elixir prototypes on: cognitive enhancement (Focus+), immune system boosting (Immunity) and vital system detox (Detox). Look at these three as our starting point - we will be counting on you to vote for which Elixirs you want to see. Maybe it is an Omega 3, or fat burner. Perhaps a pre-workout or a probiotic.
Focus+ provides you with an even, sustained flow of energy to help you stay on task and at your best throughout your day. Now that you've learned about how to make your coffee healthier, we'd like to take a moment to introduce the minds behind Java Elixir.
The idea for Java Elixir began when Chris T. was in a smoothie shop, drinking a cup of coffee. He was sitting there, watching people add all different types of health supplements to their smoothies and began wondering, why not coffee? While thinking about how many of us drink coffee on a daily basis, Chris began imagining the impact such a product would have. Java Elixir was born in that moment. Once the product had been created, Chris K. joined Chris T. and the two solidified a vision to change the way the world consumes coffee.

Chris has been a successful business developer in the health industry for over 10 years and has worked amongst some of the best fitness trainers in North America. He is currently pursuing his JD in Law at the University of Calgary with a focus on Corporate and Commercial Law.

Risks & Challenges
We need $25,000 to be able to produce, package, and ship Java Elixir.
We've spent most of the last year working with our partners to mitigate as many risks as possible, yet we know there will still be some hurdles along the way. We will always be transparent with our community about challenges, including:
Ship date: We have built in extra time for the manufacturing process and are confident we will ship by the projected dates, but there is always a chance that things will take longer than planned.
Supplier coordination: We work with a variety of suppliers to source the best and the freshest materials and ensure the product is developed to our incredibly high standards. Each supplier has its own challenges which may affect its partners, including us.
Product changes: As we refine our Elixirs based on additional community feedback and more product testing, slight changes may be made. We only aim to make changes that enhance the Java Elixir product experience.
We have already sourced and produced a test run of product. Taking into account the phases above, deliveries are estimated to start in October 2015.

Will this product change the taste of my coffee?
All Java Elixirs are designed to enhance your coffee without altering the flavor or your coffee experience.
How do I use Java Elixir?
Simply add the Java Elixir to your cup of coffee. You can add in whatever fixings you like to your coffee from there (cream, almond milk, sweetener) or keep it black. And then... enjoy!
Is Java Elixir really safe to put in my coffee?
Yes! All of our Elixirs are herbal-based supplements that are approved by Health Canada. As with any other health supplement, consult a medical practitioner if you have any preexisting health conditions.
How much should I put in my coffee?
Each serving is just 1 teaspoon or tablespoon, depending on the Elixir.
What is Java Elixir made of?
The Elixirs are herbal based formulas. Scroll up and have a look at the ingredient decks for more details.
Do I need to do anything special to use this product?
Not at all. Simply brew and prepare coffee as you normally would and add a serving of Java Elixir to craft your own cup of wellness.
When will I get my elixirs?
Your Java Elixir package should come to you within 4 months of the project reaching its funding goal. Within 1 month, you will receive your voting package to select which Elixirs you want to see. We will keep our backers updated throughout the process.
