When Harvard psychiatry professor, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, DR. JOHN MACK was asked to study people who claimed to be ABDUCTED BY ALIENS, he was reluctant.
He was a DOCTOR, a man of SCIENCE.But these people were DESPERATE for help and he became CURIOUS what the underlying psychiatric syndrome might be. Using everything in his psychiatric arsenal, Dr. Mack studied over 200 abductees. He found that people from ALL OVER THE WORLD - who had never met each other – were telling the exact same ABDUCTION stories.
John Mack's findings were SHOCKING to him and forced him to QUESTION his most deeply rooted beliefs. “These people are NOT LYING and are NOT CRAZY. I know mental illness and this is not mental illness,” he said.

He compiled his findings in his best-selling book, ABDUCTION.
When HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL got wind of it, they were MORTIFIED that their Head of Psychiatry was on national television saying that ALIENS WERE REAL. HEADLINES around the world MOCKED him. His friends and colleagues, even his wife, thought he had LOST HIS MIND.

Harvard formed a SECRET COMMITTEE to discredit Dr. Mack – to ruin his REPUTATION and take away his tenure – the first in the university’s history.
For over 14 months, John Mack ENDURED what amounted to a WITCH-HUNT against him.

I'm DENISE DAVID WILLIAMS, president of MakeMagic Productions and the producer of the major motion picture, JOHN MACK.
I have been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. After attending USC Graduate School in Film, my first job in Hollywood was working on E.T. and Raiders of the Lost Ark. At 20th Century Fox and other companies, I worked with some of the best writers and directors in Hollywood. I was Vice President of Kopelson Entertainment when we produced PLATOON – which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
I am honored that the Mack family has entrusted me with the rights to spearhead the telling of John Mack's story and that we have the support of so many of his friends around the world.
I know there is great value in this feature film as entertainment, but I believe there's more to it. This film has the potential to spark a sincere dialogue around the world about the real possibility that we are not alone in the Universe.
