Our Film
Despite being on probation, Angel continues to skip
school, much to the dismay of his mentor, Gabriel. Instead of turning him in,
Gabriel decides to lie to the school about Angel's whereabouts and take him out
for the day, but he might be doing more harm than good. Gabriel desperately
needs to find a way to relate to this kid before he gets himself into some real
trouble and gets sent back to jail.
The Production Team
Producer - Hayley Muñoz
Hayley has been
studying film for five years and is currently a senior RTF major at the
University of Texas at Austin. She has gained production experience on
professional sets such as Jason Reitman’s upcoming
Pale Blue Dot,
and Demetrius Navarro’s
Gone Hollywood. She has a passion for
acting, but decided to pursue film in order to gain a more well rounded
understanding of the entertainment industry. In the future, Hayley aspires to mimic the success
of Mr. Clint Eastwood, to be both actor and auteur.

Writer and Director - Daniel Moreno
Daniel
decided to pursue a film career after his senior year of high school when he
filmed and edited an opera version of Forrest Gump for his music history class.
He transferred over to the University of Texas for their film school after
spending one year at the University of Houston. He is a senior, and during
his time at UT, he has spent one semester living and working in Los Angeles and
has written, edited, and directed a few small projects.

Director of Photography - Justin Heller
Justin is a fourth year RTF student who is about to graduate. He has worked on multiple projects as a sound designer, DP, director, writer, and editor. He made his first film when he was five years old with a camcorder; it was about Julius Caesar and it was overall the poorest of quality, but it was a crucial first step in his career. Since then he has made many films, none of which you have seen unless you've seen them. His hero is himself in ten years... and then himself ten more after that.
Editor and DIT - Alex Payne
A third year RTF student and cinephile since he can remember, Alex has a deep passion for for filmmaking, particularly screenwriting in the last few years. When Alex is not making or watching films, he is reading, going to concerts and working at the Violet Crown Cinema in the heart of downtown Austin. Alex hopes to eventually be a writer/producer running his own development and production studio.
Assistant Director - Caleb Ramsey
Caleb is finishing up his
final semester as a film student at UT. He’s been running around with his
friends making movies since junior high, and his passion for it has only since
grown. From sound design and special effects editing, to directing, writing and
acting, he’s played about every role in the filmmaking process, and enjoys
every part. To Caleb, making movies is about telling a great story, and having
a great time in the process.
Camera Department - Stephanie Mora
A forth year RTF student Stephanie is a director/cinematographer/editor. Her favorite movies include Singin' in the Rain and Amelie. She has a passion for highly choroegraphed camera moments and the importance of visual story telling. Currently developing a short film based on her hometown of El Paso, Tx. Stephanie hopes to bring to the big screen the wonderful nuances of living in a border city.
Sound Mixer - Haipei Han
Haipei is a third-year film student at UT. She has
been interested in taking photographs and making movies since middle school. She
loves to work on film sets and meeting new people. When she is not studying or
filming, she likes to go traveling to different cities, and enjoys watching
Woody Allen movies.
Gaffer and Key Grip - Nickolas Grisham and Morgan Bond
Morgan and Nick are the department heads of the Grip and Electric Department. They are the Underwoods of G&E.
Morgan is the head of the electric department as the Gaffer. She started in theater and production lighting as a board operator. She now works primarily in G&E, but also is an electrician at Texas Performing Arts and does automated lighting. After she graduates in December, she hopes to stay in Austin and join local 484 as a grip.
Nickolas is the head of the grip department as the Key Grip. He likes making his own films. He started in theater as an actor. His long term goal is to direct a film screened at SXSW by age 27.
Grip - Andrew Brooks
Andrew is a second year film student at the University of Texas. Born and raised in New York, he came down to Austin as soon as he could. He has been directing movies ever since he borrowed the family Panasonic to create neighborhood blockbusters such as "Stunt: The Legend". He hopes to continue making narrative films for a living.
