Keep Rwandan Kids in School
Looking at the photo of one of our Mucyo girls, you might see the light of hope in her eyes; hope for a future beyond dire poverty and near starvation. She wears the uniform that allows her to be seen as the same as all other children, no matter what tribe or class.
Please take a moment to match our generous donor's offer of up to $5,550. We are asking for 100 donors like you to give $50 each. Help us spread the word!
The story of Mucyo: Four years ago, with one donor's generous gift, RSF opened a preschool for the very poorest children of Rubavu, Rwanda. The children chosen were those who otherwise would receive no education, who were hungry, often sick, and who wore tattered clothes. Their families lived in small, mudbrick houses without electricity, with no beds, no plumbing, and no hope for their future. Thus the dream school Mucyo, which means light, was created.
Your generous gift helps provide preschool and primary school education for 2018. It includes a porridge breakfast, school fees, new shoes, uniforms, school supplies.
Please help us today, let us keep shining the light of love and hope into the lives of our young children. Thank you for your kindness and your generosity.
