Love, ecstasy and a bisexual beauty. Do you need to know more?
Okay, you probably do.
"Lizzy" is a short film made by three average gals (see below). It follows Jo's epic adventure as she gets to know her strange, beautiful and free-spirited weekend lover who introduces her to a whole new world of pure bliss.

Hailey Abernathy is a 23-year-old writer, director and amateur juggler based in Norfolk, Va. She is a part-time vegan and a full-time lesbian whose hobbies include gardening, reading, crying and attempting to learn how to play the guitar. Her previous work includes a short film, "Flood", which will complete its festival run in April. "Lizzy" was a short, sweet and simple idea that she kind of got carried away with and it serves as an opportunity for Hailey to represent the LGBTQ+ community in a whole new way.
Nadja Bangoura is a filmmaker within the Hampton Roads region! She has a broad skill set when it comes to cinema–the majority of my experience coming from camera work, directing, and editing. Film has always been a huge part of her life, so she is ecstatic to be working on this current project, “Lizzy” and can’t wait to share it with everyone!
Jess Perkins is a 25-year-old writer and filmmaker based in Virginia. As a fellow full-time
lesbian, she’s passionate about telling real human LGBTQ+ stories. Her previous work in film includes a handful of short films in which she has most notably held the roles of writer, producer, director, director of photography, and editor. She views Lizzy as an awesome opportunity to not only tell a quirky queer story, but make a movie with her best friends. What’s better than that?

It's expensive to make a movie and we need your help to raise $1,750!
If you don't believe me, here's a few things we might need the money for:
- Feeding our Cast/Crew ($300)
- All this film making REALLY works up an appetite
- Lights. Camera. Sound? ($250)
- We've got some gear, but not all of it. We need to light all of our scenes, capture perfect sound and maybe rent a few lenses
- Makeup & Wardrobe ($300)
- Sparkles, tutus, pink wigs and more
- Location, Location, Location! ($350)
- Shutting an entire business down for a day can get (really!) costly
- We'll Fix It In Post ($150)
- Festivals ($400)
- We want this thing to go somewhere! Festivals will help us network and showcase our work with the rest of the world.
If we don't reach our goal, a movie will still be made, it just may not be as high-quality as we would like, so every donation helps make it that much better!

So, this film is actually about a lot more than love, drugs and bisexual beauties. It is our chance to highlight the LGBTQ+ community in a fun way and encourage representation. We feature LGBTQ+ actors, filmmakers and themes and have a strong female influence with over 75% of our cast and crew being female! It is very important to us that underrepresented groups get to tell stories and bring their ideas to life.

If you can't donate right now, have no fear! Sharing this campaign is HUGELY helpful and can lead to more awareness about our film and our topic. But keep in mind that every dollar helps and even if you can only donate $5, you can help us reach our goal!
