Nadia's Request is a crime suspense thriller that takes you into the corrupt world of the Romanov family. Sergei Romanov, Nadia's father, has squandered away his fortune on scotch, women, and gambling, leaving him in tax arrears to the government. Fighting to maintain his lavish lifestyle that he embellished with his daughter, Sergei heists a truck load of immigrants, money, and drugs from Hector Diaz, infamous Colombian crime boss. To save her father, Nadia concocts a plan to have her father assumed dead and pin the murder and heist on her boyfriend, Vinny Pelligrini, and his friend, Ricky Trambino. This is an adventure of twisted family loyalty that will bring you into the worlds of corruption, greed, and murder.

Dana Wine - Director: After her parents divorced, Dana, her mother, and brother moved from Texas to Connecticut, to her aunt's home. Being raised by independent women conditioned her to learn to take necessary risks to obtain her goals. She has a B.A. in general studies, a B.S. in science and is working simultaneously on her M.B.A. and R.N. She is a jack of all trades as she started as a hairdresser and owned a salon. The majority of her success is in the housing industry. However, her true passion has always been acting. She remembers dressing up in her mother's gowns and reciting her Academy Award moment in the mirror as early as the age of 3 years old. Dana has acted in many films, hosted events and commercials, and has done voice-overs. In addition to acting, she is a writer and director.

Robert Miano - Producer: A natural performer, Robert Miano came to acting through his singing career, auditioning for the lead in the musical "Satyricon." After a brief hiatus, he returned to New York to study acting with Lee Strasberg and Warren Robertson. His first film role was in 1973, when he was awarded a bit part by director Howard W. Koch in "Badge 373." He had dozens of small parts in B and C films, and one-off appearances on various TV shows in the '70s and '80s, but it wasn't until the late '90s that his profile was raised. After being cast as the lead in "The Killer Inside" in 1996, Miano played Enrico in the star-studded "The Funeral," directed by Abel Ferrara. His increased visibility led to his best role, in 1997's "Donnie Brasco," in which Miano played infamous mafia capo Sonny Red alongside stars Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, and Michael Madsen. He played a small part in the Native American indie comedy "Smoke Signals," but returned to lesser films such as "Detour" and "Thick as Thieves." In the '00s Miano has appeared in dozens of indie films, including "Giallo" starring Adrien Brody, and occasionally worked on Hollywood projects like "Fast & The Furious" and "Little Fockers."

Pauly Popolizio - Creator: Paul A. Popolizio grew up in Hamden, CT. A graduate of Hamden High School, he went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in illustration of fine arts from Paier College of Art. Pauly developed an interest in art at a young age, observing his father sketching cartoons from the daily newspaper. Tragically, Pauly’s father suffered a massive stroke, and when he recovered, Pauly would realize that he had to carry on his instilled talent which has grown so much over the years. Pauly has also made a number of appearances in movies such as Making Bones, Junction, Bloodline Killer, and more.

Joey Ambrosini - Producer: Joey Ambrosini is a Connecticut based award-winning actor and filmmaker. At the age of 16, he would appear in major motion pictures for Lionsgate and Universal Studios before evolving to becoming an actor. His more notable performances would be in movies such as Alarmed, Johnny & Clyde, Damon’s Revenge, and more. During the growth of his career as an actor, Joey began to develop ideas that would then turn into stories and screenplays. In 2020, just before graduating high school, he produced a student film documentary on the football team which became very popular in the town of Monroe. Soon after, he would start to bring his scripts to life. His short film The Jackpot Hit was an honorable mention at the 2023 London International Monthly Film Festival and a semi-finalist in the first ever Nutmeg Film Festival. A year later, he made his directorial debut for the short crime thriller by LateFlix Originals, Making Bones. Joey is represented by MWA Talent and managed by DTLA Entertainment Group.

Randy Borruso - Director of Photography: Randy Borruso graduated with his bachelors and master's in biomedical engineering in 2018 and began working as a structural engineer validating designs for US naval submarines. You might ask “What’s that got to do with film?” Randy’s problem solving, teamwork, and critical thinking demeanor honed by hours as an engineer combined with his love and passion for filmmaking has generated a successful beginning to his career as both a producer and actor. Most recently, his work on The Screens has garnered best short film at the Ferrara Film Festival as well as best actor at the 39th annual Boston Film Festival. With an array of upcoming feature films, Randy is determined to foster entertainment for the public while creating fun and productive environments on the sets he works on.

With the filming all done and ready to move on to post-production, we need $5,000 to complete this movie.

We aim to pitch Nadia's Request to distributors and plan to have it available for streaming.

This project is special to us because most of the movie was filmed in Connecticut.  Residents opened their homes and businesses to us, and much of the talent are Connecticut natives. This is important to expand on the underrepresented state which lies between Boston and New York. 

The level of trust and belief in this project has been incredible. People have given us locations such as businesses, homes, and locations because they felt this project would be a huge success. The Hollywood quality of this film, the passion of all who have been part of it, coupled with a good storyline, ensures us this film will be a success.
