Neighbourly, Neighborly is a charitable group founded by ex-pats living in Jeonju, South Korea. It's mission is to bring love, happiness and hope for the Korean orphans in and around Jeonju, South Korea.
What We Need & What You Get
Every year we raise funds to help the orphans in multiple ways. ONE event we are concentrating on now are Christmas presents! We purchase gifts, which these kids wouldn't normally receive and bring them to the kids aged infants to 18 years old at four different orphanages! It's one of the few times of the year when we hand out presents. The other is on Children's day. All you have to do is contribute $5, $10, $15 or whatever you can afford. It's that simple! You will be part of giving smiles and laughter to these kids that do not get adopted. YOU will provide such an impact on their lives!
The Impact
You might think--it's too simple. But to the kids this is HUGE! They normally don't receive anything during the year other than our time. Unfortunately, we are not a registered charity because we are all foreigners. It would be too difficult to register, so we do what we can. We visit the kids and play with them, while bringing them snacks and games. We raise money primarily thru private, local donations. But each year, it's difficult for us to reach our goals since we are a small community! This is where you can help us! These kids need to know people in the world are thinking of them! They need to know they are wanted and loved! Any extra funds we raise, is put into special accounts for those girls that graduate from the orphanages. It helps them live out in the world without having to get into the sex trade. You can be a very simple solution to their world. Please open up your hearts and help us, help them.
