Apart from always being fascinated with the endless well of awesomeness mythology brings to us, the show Misfits also made a lasting impression on me when it was first released. It was utterly brilliant. The characters were hopeless, and the situations so dire that you couldn't help but laugh at the outcome. This mix of humour and drama is what we're aiming at, with Greek Mythology as the foundation. Each scenario on the show incorporates events depicted in Greek Mythology.
The more I read about Greek Mythology, the more I see how the Gods really can't stand each other. They constantly betray and sabotage one another, and it's truly inspiring. In Oh My Godness, they will have to collaborate and actually work together to go back to Mount Olympus. That can't possibly work out without a few major bumps in the road.
The first season will have a total of 14 episodes. Each episode will last between 5 and 6 minutes, with the double purpose of moving the storyline further and giving away important elements about the world the Gods now live in.
By releasing the webseries on YouTube, our goal is to share the fun with everybody, regardless of where they live. Too many shows require you to live somewhere specific, or have a subscription, or have to pay for it, and we don't want any of that. Fair entertainment should be available to all.
By the end of the first season, we'll hopefully have a large enough audience and followers to be self-sustained by the YouTube monetisation, and move on to season 2. But we need your help to get this ball rolling.

Equipment: we already own cameras and recording devices, but we need to invest in lights, reflectors and further hardware. Our aim is to be independent and not rely on renting equipments, especially when our schedule doesn't allow to shoot 2 weeks in a row.
Special Effects (i.e. Software Licenses): the contributions also go toward the special effects. You basically decide whether the story is graphically depicted or merely alluded. Those really fancy 3d plugins only geeks and nerds know about, those are the ones that cost money but that allow our little Goddess of Dawn to hold a very hot looking mini-sun, that she could then turn into a fireball and throw at... I'm getting carried away. But you get the idea.
Music copyright: we'll feature amazing indie bands from around the world in the show, which are kind enough to let us use their music for free, but there are some tracks that we will need to pay for.
Illustrations: we have a great illustrator on board who is willing to draw wonderful things for us. I don't know about you, but I want to SEE Mount Olympus, not just talk about it. She can do that, but it costs time and money...
Props: the Gods will require magical items (can't say more, but yeah, magical). We'll also need some costumes and other props.
Indiegogo fees: yes, Indiegogo gets paid too!
Things passion pays for: the cast and crew - we're not paid and all work on this project happens during our free time, whenever we have a few hours in common.
My name is Jeremy Chevillotte, I'm the creator of Oh My Godness. This is my second big project. I directed a short called Eve No More, which has been selected by the Chain NYC Film Festival 2015.
I have always been a fan of Gods, and this idea has always been in the back of my head. I have decided to explore it with my fellow actors from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. We have an international cast, with each actor bringing their own style and sense of humour to the mix.
