OVW in HD
Ohio Valley Wrestling launches 2015 announcing a High
Definition upgrade campaign. Originally founded in 1993, OVW is the longest
running independent professional wrestling television show in the country today.
The company recently celebrated its 800th television episode
currently airing on ION-TV affiliate WBNA in Louisville, KY (DMA 48). OVW is
respected the world over as the, “Harvard of Pro Wrestling,” once the
developmental training ground for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Total
Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). The
biggest superstars in the industry of the last 15 years cut their teeth on OVW
television including John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, CM Punk and more
than 100 others.
Ohio Valley Wrestling continues to exist today on
the dedication of its fans. The loyal people who attend our live events, and
who watch our show on air and online from around the world are the lifeline of
our organization. OVW owner Danny Davis is as dedicated to those fans as they
are to his company. That’s why the show continues to air on free local
television, web episodes have no charge, and ticket prices have not increased
in five years. In order to maintain this mutual dedication OVW is appealing to our
loyal crowd to help support the HD upgrade. Much like our weekly television
show it cannot happen without you. Every dollar of our $25,000 goal will go
toward equipment upgrades including new cameras, lighting and sound equipment and
an HD switcher for our TV control room. Going HD brings our fans into the action
with a sharper presentation.
The HD upgrade coincides with an Ohio Valley
Wrestling expansion as we seek to move our television show into new markets
like Eastern and Western Kentucky as well as Indiana and Southern Ohio. OVW
will offer gifts depending on your level of financial support. Elite
contributors can participate in an OVW training class, step into the squared circle
and be featured on an episode of Ohio Valley Wrestling television.
