People Assisting The Homeless (PATH) West LA is a facility which houses 30 male veterans, all of whom are on their way to achieving permanent housing stability.

As most of you know, I'm a member of Sea Scout Ship 16 "Islander." For my Quartermaster project, I am holding a book drive as well as renovating the small library PATH West LA has as a part of their community gathering space. This will entail purchasing new bookcases as well as a desk lamp or two and an armchair.

Your contributions will first go towards funding the two new bookcases to hold the donated books. Next, they will go towards purchasing additional second-hand books in order to completely fill the bookcases. Lastly, the remainder of the proceeds will help fund the lamps and armchair for the reading space. When the project is complete, the residents of PATH West LA will have a great quiet space to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book! Thank you all in advance for any amount you're willing to donate; every little bit counts!

If you would like to donate any new or lightly used books to the book drive, please feel free to contact me anytime and I'll arrange a way to get your reading material into the hands of a deserving veteran. Additionally, if you'd like to physically lend a hand on the day of the project, I'll get that specific information to you as the project draws nearer. Thank you all in advance for your time, effort, and support, without which none of this could be possible.
