What is pingg?
pingg is the next generation of micro social networking apps that provides users with a new innovative way for local user to user connections and business
to consumer connections in their immediate areas.
Users are able to see other pingg users and local businesses in their current geotagged area. The visible users are characterized
by their first name and their job titles as listed on LinkedIn and/or Facebook.
pingg allows users to connect with
other users to start a dialog or conversation. The
app also connects them to instant time sensitive deals by small businesses in their immediate local area.
Local businesses are able
to directly connect with their targeted local customers, allowing them to instantly offer time sensitive deals or specials!
How it works...
Users sign in to pingg using their LinkedIn OR Facebook credentials allowing a seamless and effortless signup. Our users are encouraged to add more information in their individual profiles.
Once logged in, users are able to
see other users within a small radius to initiate a conversation, as well as being able to see local business specials/deals within a local radius.
pingg is about meeting new people and discovering small businesses in your immediate area no matter where you are!
Our app features a real time posting method
that allows users and business to post instant deals OR community announcement
with pictures (ie lost dog, special event, playing a gig at a local bar) and be visible to anyone in your immediate area for two hours. No need to present vouchers, just mention you saw it on pingg.
Just bought a new TV? Sell your old one immediately by posting on pingg. Once you post, a notification will be displayed on every users phone in the nearby area allowing for an instant sale!
pingg is currently developed for IOS (Apple iPhone) however, we plan on expanding to Android in the very near future.
What We Need
We are looking for assistance to finish the app and move our code to a secure database. We want to attend the Collision Conference in Las Vegas, NV on May 5th where we can network and get the word out about pingg. Our goal is to attend the next start up conference in fall 2015 but we need a fully working app to be considered. We are currently in the beta testing phase and need to raise funds to acquire new equipment needed. We will be in the iPhone app store within 2 months if we reach the required funding.
The Impact
We are helping neighborhoods become a community of open conversation. We believe we miss out on connections because we are just not aware of the people around us. Get to know who's around you!
We also support small businesses who may not have the marketing budget to advertise. We provide them a cost effective way to be heard and develop local support from their neighborhood as well as people just visiting the area.
Ways You Can Help
Many great ideas have been lost throughout time because there wasn't enough support to help them materialize. This is why we are taking the crowdfunding approach. We feel we have a great idea that will develop into something amazing and know with your help we can get there!
We have a focused marketing plan that is destined to take us to the next level. We understand not everyone is able to contribute to this project, however if you like the concept try it out! pingg will be in the App Store within the next few months.
