with her only friend, Alex, a human aspiring space captain, Salon is trying to escape her home planet, which is prejudiced against Salon’s

Rafflesia is a 2D fantasy, sci-fi animated short film, about 12 minutes total in length. After completing the project, we will pursue continuing the story by starting a serialized show, that will be available online for free. Rafflesia explores themes of prejudice, freedom, family, love, and hate. The world of Rafflesia is huge, with established history, culture, mechanics, characters, organizations, and even the Rafflesian language. The world also features an entirely new method of space travel that opens the door for unique stories to be told.
This campaign's perks were designed to help you become more immersed in the world of Rafflesia, and a series of planned updates will allow you to learn even more. It is our sincerest hope that you will be as excited to explore the stars as Salon and Alex are.

It is no secret that Rafflesia is an incredibly ambitious project. We are committed to ensuring the quality of animation is at a professional level. We have the opportunity to work with an outstanding, professional animator, who will tackle Rafflesia with 100% of his time.
Nearly the entirety of the funds raised by this campaign are going to contribute to producing this film, compensating the artists and voice talent. A portion of the funds will be used to enter the film in several film festivals.
The entire crew of Rafflesia is grateful that you have taken the time to learn more about this short film. More than anything else, we would like to ask you to share Rafflesia if you find it interesting and would like to see it become a reality.
Thank you!
