Real Justice: Victim-Powered, Aggressor-Funded
In today's legal labyrinth, victims are neglected, and not compensated for their loss. In fact, they must devote a great deal of their own time and energy getting any cooperation at all from those who have been entrusted with their care. And those individuals who victimize them are not even required to pay anything back, but are instead housed in a crowded prison - which favors the most brutish - at taxpayer expense. Such a method is counterproductive. It fosters criminality. It fails to restore the victim - or the aggressor.
Wouldn't it make a lot more sense for the aggressors to pay their victims for the losses and damages for which they are responsible?
Wouldn't it make a lot more sense if victims didn't have to pay for their own recovery, but were offered a menu of speedy and seamless remuneration packages?
Isn't that the way justice is SUPPOSED to work?
With the help of internet-based technologies, I have reinvented a wheel that has been buried for 1000 years by kings and tyrants. I am resurrecting victim-powered, aggressor funded, JUSTICE. Today's investigation tools, financial mechanisms, and collection/ tracking methods, make it possible to package justice as a free on-demand service that is funded almost entirely by tortfeasors (aggressors) through a network of RTR agents:

Restitution Transfer and Recoupment (RTR) packages the services of targeted professionals for investigation, bonding, arbitration, collections, finance, and, in some cases, job placement. ReTRN (the Restitution Transfer and Recoupment Network) provides a marketplace for these professionals as a private justice network that restores victims and holds aggressors financially accountable, in exchange for the chance of avoiding incarceration and the stigma of a criminal record.
An increasingly-used tool that has been available to insurers - called subrogation - allows third-parties to collect losses and damages for claimants (victims) from tortfeasors (aggressors). They can also recoup accompanying costs as "allocated loss adjustment expenses." Funds for services required to restore claimants can be recovered from the tortfeasor. ReTRN is better than an insurance policy. It costs the claimant nothing.
Some members of the network conduct an investigation to assign the debt, others works with the debtor to develop an optimum debt collection package. The claimant is paid immediately wherever possible, and the tortfeasor is charged interest over time (if he can not make immediate payment), while being monitored to the extent necessary. In some cases, the tortfeasor may need job placement assistance, in order to speed payment. Any claim dispute is settled through private arbitration. This wiki provides the details of RTR.
What ReTRN Needs & What You Get
ReTRN will be a private justice network - not a company. Since recoverable expenses must be directly related to the claim, they may not include operating expenses - unless a finance contract includes them. So packages must be set up instantly, case-by-case, as a package of services required for recoupment.
All that remains is to put on the finishing touches, fill and automate the network, and give it a jump start. $25,000 should provide sufficient momentum to get the network to autopilot, with the remainder of expenses from advertising revenue.
But big investors prefer to put their money in established businesses.
So the question is this: How do I provide enough incentive to overcome the reluctance barrier in order to reach the required $25,000? How do I reach the people who are sympathetic to the cause AND who have a few bucks to spare? Social activists tend to be dirt poor. Angel investors tend to be too busy to notice.
How about offering 15% of the startup funds to front-line activists who find and bring in contributors - as part of the advertising budget? The only trick is to get THEM to contribute too, so that they can be set up as recipients. Indiegogo's privacy policy requires this. Fortunately, they can put in ANY amount. Unfortunately, asking them to contribute almost looks like a pyramid scheme - even if they only need to contribute a dollar. Maybe Indiegogo will allow them to contribute a penny. That would be fine with me.
How about giving those who contribute $1K the ability to put that money anywhere in the network they like. Maybe they think it should be spent on immediate compensation of a few initial victims. Maybe they would like it to go toward the ad campaign, or coding of the app - or a combination of the two. Maybe they would like to invest it in an interest-bearing payment plan for the debtor. It is entirely up to them.
How about giving those who contribute $5K or more the ability to not only put the money anywhere in the network they like, but also giving them the ability to start new budgets - AND determine what is done with the money? By giving them full control over the funds, I am letting founders steer the network wherever they feel it needs to go - as administrators! Of course I need to draw the line if someone wants to steer ReTRN away from its mission.
My plan
Although ReTRN.com will be self-funding, I will need start-up funds of $25,000 by April 15th. These funds will be used to run a strong social media campaign through
AdWords and other internet-based promotional tools. ReTRN will need to establish a strong network of readily-accessible legal and financial professionals in order to package
RTR as an on-demand service.

claim form to specify the person who referred them to ReTRN. (Note that this is not the referral program for this campaign described below, in which referrers earn a share of campaign proceeds.)

For $5000, you will receive all of the above perks - including choice of fund allocation - as well as proportionate voice in determining the use of those funds. For example, if your contribution exceeds half of the budget you allocate, you will be able to control the use of those funds. Uses that violate the nonaggression principle will be rejected, of course, and no tax funded contributions will be accepted.
Each Founder will also be given the opportunity to spend a day with me to discuss the future of justice, and how ReTRN will help to bring about that change.

If the goal is reached by April 15th, ReTRN will commence full budgetary operations as soon as the funds are released by Indiegogo (approximately one week later), while converting its crowdfunding activity to an "in demand" Indiegogo campaign.
How to Earn Money from Referrals
You will earn 15% of every contribution you generate via Widgets, Facebook, Twitter, or email, from this site. Indiegogo's privacy policy requires you to make a contribution in order to participate in the referral program, but that contribution can be ANY amount.
All of your referrals are automatically tracked by Indiegogo. You can see your referrals in your Indiegogo profile. The funds will be made available soon after the April 15th deadline - regardless of whether the $25,000 goal is reached. Be sure that you are logged in to Indiegogo when you click - if you want to collect.
