Rose City Yoga is more than just your neighborhood yoga studio, we believe that your practice has purpose.  Imagine a studio space that gives back to the local community.  A space where you can practice mindfulness, foster creative energy and connect with your tribe.  Our studio memberships and packages help us to expand our community outreach -- so when you practice with RCY, you are giving back to local non-profits and organizations in Pasadena.  Not only will your practice benefit you, it will reach beyond your mat.  

Rose City Yoga started as an idea to cultivate community in Pasadena through the practice of yoga.  In 2014 -- Kimi, being the big-hearted yogi that she is, wanted to share her love of yoga with...well, everyone!  So she hit up Mel to join her on this journey of spreading yogic love (because let's be real, Kimi and Mel are a package deal) -- and RCY was born.  We then began a collaboration with several non-profits and organizations in Pasadena that were dear to our hearts (check out Club 21 and The Foundation for Living Beauty, they are pretty amazing) -- providing free yoga classes to their members and staff.  We also hosted a summer solstice festival to raise some funds for our friends at The Foundation for Living Beauty.  And we started teaching weekly donation classes at a local church.  But our vision has grown, and in order to expand our community outreach,  we need a studio space.  

By creating a public studio with a full schedule of inspiring and awesome yoga classes, we will have the financial foundation to expand our community outreach and work with more organizations to design yoga programs and events tailored to their needs.  So, we've got to create a studio worthy of tribe!  Our goal is to raise $30,000.  What for, you ask?  We will need to build out the studio space and make it yoga worthy -- wood floors, paint, fixtures, wood cubbies to store the yoga props (blocks, straps, bolsters) that we also need to purchase, install a filtered water system, custom reception desk for our furry front desk staff (see video) and of course hire teachers and staff that will inspire and motivate you to enlightenment ;)
