Short Summary
My name is Ruba Shamshoum. I'm a Palestinian musician originally from Nazareth, and currently living in Dublin, Ireland. I finished my jazz performance studies two years ago at Newpark Music Centre, and I've been writing, creating and performing internationally, ever since. Throughout the years I have independently funded and recorded songs and released them with high-quality videos. I also wrote music for the Palestinian film 'When I saw You'.
The way people reacted to my songs and writing style, encouraged me in 2016 to finally dive into the deep water and record my debut album. The songs are all written, composed and arranged by me. Your contribution will give a huge push to the release of this project, and to the continuity of my journey as a creator.

What We Need & What You Get
My aim is to raise $ 8,000. The money will cover:
* Mixing the album
* Mastering the album
* Booklet artwork and design
* Printing and packaging
* Distribution
* Publicity and press
In return for your generosity, you will, of course, have the opportunity to download the album before everyone else gets the chance to listen to it, get a hard copy of the album delivered to you in the comfort of your home, and more awesome perks!
In case we do not reach the goal, I have prioritized my goals above. The most important thing for me, in that case, is finishing the process of mixing, mastering, and design.

The Impact
In this project, I tried to keep the writing true to who I am. The record is a hybrid of everything that influenced me, moved me, and made me fall in love with this profession. In the album, I sing about love, communication and the lack of it, escapism and just a hint of reality, because who needs more?
Since the content I'm creating is not commercial music, I need your help and support for the continuity of my journey as a creator. Your contribution plays a key role in the success of this project and encourages diversity in art and culture.

Other Ways You Can Help
I understand that not everyone can be financially involved, of course. Fortunately, there are other ways you can support this campaign. By sharing the campaign with family and friends, and spreading the word, you'd be bringing attention to the project and most importantly, to the music.
Thank you for taking the time to read about the project! The journey is long, but it's worth taking.
Much love and appreciation!
Ruba
