We Must Respond
Seven St. Louis churches have been hit by arsonists in the past two weeks. Each fire has been set at the church entrances. Our community, especially people of faith, must respond. We invite our church families, our friends and allies of all traditions to donate to the repair and rebuilding of the damaged buildings as part of our commitment to edifying all who are dedicated to loving and serving our city.
What We Need
Each of the seven churches will need to install or repair security systems, not to mention structural repairs. We spoke with some of the impacted churches and know that we need to start this blitz campaign RIGHT NOW so that they can get repairs started as soon as possible.
Our hope is to deliver $3,000 to each congregation and to raise the money in the time it took to attempt to tear these structures down.
Any money will be used to help repair the damage to the churches and to install security systems to prevent further damage. If there is excess money in the fund it will be used by the affected churches for programs in the community. If more churches are burned we will add them to the fund as well.
Help us raise $18,000 by Sunday, November 1st so that we can show our love and solidarity to these faith communities

Stories from Some of the Damaged Churches
New Life Missionary Baptist
At a prayer vigil for the burned churches, Pastor Triggs, whose church was one of the most badly damaged, said "Ain’t nobody mad but the devil.” The church has held Sunday services outside on the church lawn for two weeks.
