A Message From Our Directors
What would the world look like if Comic Book Shops disappeared?
By asking the question: “Can the Comic Book Industry survive another 100 years”, we’re attempting to answer that question and explore the future of the comic book industry through in-depth interviews with some of the people who are on the front lines of the comic book industry – the Comic Book Shop Owners!

Introducing Surviving Comics: The Documentary!
Surviving Comics is a feature-length documentary currently in production that showcases the remarkable resilience of Comic Book Retail throughout the decades, surviving economic hardships, cultural shifts, global challenges and corporate agendas.
Surviving Comics delves into the struggles faced by shop owners as they navigate a highly competitive industry. It highlights the financial pressures, changing consumer behaviors, and evolving market dynamics that threaten the survival of these cherished establishments. By shedding light on these challenges, the documentary illuminates the dedication and determination of these shop owners to preserve the comic book medium.
Why Back Us?
Spread the Word about the Impact that Comic Book Shops have on our Society.
For regular comic book shop go’ers, we probably don’t need to explain this but, comic book shops are more than just stores that sell comic books. They have become cultural landmarks and community gathering places. In some cases, they’ve become a second home for people from all walks of life who share common interests.
They’ve also become a place where creativity, diversity, equality, learning, and community converge. As one of our goals for this documentary, we want to show the world that printed Comic Books, and Comic Book Shops are a major part of our culture and should be preserved for generations to come.

Help us finish this documentary and get awesome perks!
Because we believe in this project, we’ve already begun production on the documentary and have interviewed some amazing comic book shop owners in Florida, Atlanta and New York City. We don’t want to stop here!
To make this documentary even better, we want to travel to other parts of the United States to hear the stories of other Comic Book Shop owners as well as collectors, creators and industry experts. This of course comes with additional travel expenses, equipment rentals and rates for the Film Crew we hire.
We’d also like to use the funds to make the post-production process as amazing as possible by hiring a professional Colorist, an award-winning Music Composer to score the Soundtrack as well as an epic Motion Graphics Artist to put together a Title Sequence worthy of this amazing medium we all love!
As a thank you for your help, we're offering some awesome perks including T-shirts, swag packs, Blu-Ray, exclusive Behind-the-Scenes access and plenty more.
