Cum functioneaza?
Pe scurt, curatarea deseurilor implica momentan doua obstacole:
1. Deseurile sunt raspandite ilegal pe teritoriul tarii si nu avem o harta completa a lor pentru a le curata.
2. Nu exista o procedura usoara pentru tine, ca cetatean, sa raportezi autoritatilor deseurile ilegale descoperite.
Aplicatia noastra te ajuta sa marchezi pe harta oricand, orice deseu intalnit in oras sau in natura. In campaniile “Let’s Do It, Romania” din ultimii 5 ani sute de oameni au facut eforturi personale pentru a cauta si gasi aceste deseuri fiindca nu exista o harta concreta a lor. Dezvoltand aplicatia, oricine va contribui in timp real la asamblarea unei Harti a Deseurilor cu fiecare click.
In momentul in care gasesti o zona afectata de reziduuri, aplicatia genereaza prin intermediul unui formular o sesizare oficiala catre autoritatile responsabile de curatarea ei. Conform legislatiei din Romania, autoritatile au obligatia de a reveni cu un raspuns la fiecare sesizare in maximum 30 de zile. Sesizarea ramane in istoricul aplicatiei tale si vei primi actualizari constant pana la solutionarea problemei semnalizate.

You already know illegal waste is poisoning our planet and your favorite spots in nature or neighborhood as well. Globally, 2 billion tons (1.000.000.000 times the load of an average truck) of garbage are disposed of yearly. Almost 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals die each year from eating plastic, many species becoming extinct.
“Let's Do It!” is the environmental mass movement worldwide created as a response to the statistics above. Over 12 million volunteers from 112 countries cleaned the world in the last 7 years. At “Let’s Do It, Romania!” we have cleaned 22,500 tons of trash and engaged over 1 million volunteers. But we need to do more, faster.
What’s our mission?
We want to use technology to amplify our efforts and help you clean your neighborhood and your favorite nature spots. We are building an innovative platform & mobile app to easily identify and locate illegal waste, creating a connection between citizens and authorities responsible for clearing it up. The platform would run as a pilot in Romania and then we want to extend it for being used worldwide.

Why do you need this app for?
At the moment, cleaning the waste from your streets, parks, forests, beaches and rivers presents two major issues this application can solve:
1. You will now be able to report illegal waste and contribute to creating an accurate mapping and planning. Currently, volunteers go through an exhausting process of individually searching for trash points: they use personal cars, bikes and a GPS to find garbage spots, write down their coordinates and details by hand then return home from their quests and introduce data into our system via computer to create a partially complete clean-up map.

2. Your reports will be routed to local authorities in charge with cleaning up garbage. In most cases contacting authorities is a confusing bureaucratic procedure that nobody knows how to use.

How does it work?
You have the chance to help save and clean the planet with the tip of your finger, literally! Just use the “Let’s Do It!” app every time you stumble upon a pile of garbage and don’t let it go unnoticed: report it immediately!

No WI-FI? No problem!
You can use the app offline too. When you reach an internet hot spot, the information automatically uploads itself to the “Let's Do It!” mapping platform, awaiting to be reviewed by the authorities.
You only need to use the mobile app that has a super-friendly user interface, but behind it there’s a complex platform that helps the “Let's Do It!” teams to coordinate cleaning campaigns, supervise the actions of the authorities and monitor all activity.

Where and when will the app be available?
The project and app will pilot in Romania: we'll officially launch it on the 1st of July for our own little corner of the Earth. We're the first happy country to test out mapping and functions.
What's next? The rest of the world, of course! we want our project to become the official platform of "Let's Do It, World!". We want to make volunteering easy as a swipe for everyone in the world. That means starting with August 2015 we're giving away our app to other countries as well. Yours could be next!

Who are you?
"Let`s Do It, Romania!" is a social movement that started in 2009 with a group of people from different professional fields (IT, communication, finance, NGO) who decided to organize a National Clean Up Day. The legal entity behind this movement is called “Viitorul in Zori” and it is a non governmental apolitical association.
Why would I donate to your cause?
1. Because we’ve had tangible results over the last 5 years (1 million volunteers involved, 22 500 tons of trash collected) and we have showed credibility and trust all along the way. In Romania, we have a clean, trustworthy image and “Let`s Do It!” is a powerful brand with one of the biggest communities of dedicated volunteers locally. Also, we are part of an international movement that has a huge impact and relevant results: “Let`s Do It, World!” started in 2008, involving more than 11 millions volunteers and 112 countries in their clean ups all around the world.

Why is the app developed first in Romania?
“Let`s Do It, Romania!” team came up with this idea: we wanted to bring this social movement to the next level. Romania is one of the first countries that organized a National Clean Up Day and one of the strongest countries in the “Let`s Do It, World!” community, being a role model and a source of inspiration for other countries involved. Thus, Romania is going to be simply the first happy country to test it - more countries will follow in the next months. Right now we need your support for building it so everyone around the world can benefit!
How is the budget split up?
Everything you donate will go directly into building the mobile app and the software administration platform behind it, which will be used to sustain and update live the Garbage Map and automatically generate reports based on your pins for the local authorities in charge. How did you start the partnership with QUALITANCE?
After coming up with the idea of the app, we made some research to find out what companies would be capable to develop the platform. We discussed with several companies in Romania and we immediately chose to work with QUALITANCE for 3 reasons:
- they came up with a well structured plan and a very creative solution to our brief
- they offered not only to build our platform and app but also to partially support the costs (for every dollar you donate, QUALITANCE will contribute with 1 dollar as well)

Who can use this app?
The app will be available for free in Google Play or App Store starting 1st of July for Android and iOS. For using our app and being a digital volunteer, you simply need a smartphone and a wi-fi connection or mobile internet.
What happens when I pin a pile of trash with the app?
The pile will be uploaded to the Garbage Map instantly over WI-FI and updated later when you hit a hot spot if you don’t have a connection. "Let`s Do It, Romania!" team checks it, approves it and generates an official report sent to the authorities in charge to clean it.
The "Let`s Do It, Romania!" team will monitor every report until the pile is cleaned: also, you receive regular updates and notifications about the status of the pile.
