What Happens in Eugene
SARAH arrives in town and leaves a message for DAN. When he does not immediately call her back, she reaches out to another friend SETH. He loaned her a book before she left, The Lottery and Other Stories by Shirley Jackson. She wants to give it back.
TAKE ME HOME is about what happens between Sarah and Seth, and Sarah and Dan. It's a love triangle, in a way. It's mostly about people reaching out and getting close and backing away because it's not right. It's about how we hurt the people we are close to, and also allow ourselves to be hurt.
TAKE ME HOME is going to be around 15 minutes long and in black and white. We intend to shoot on the Red Epic in a narrow 2:35:1 aspect ratio. Remember HUD or MANHATTAN or RAGING BULL or FRANCES HA? It should look like those movies. Hopefully.
What We Need and Why We Need It.
(And why we need you.)
Alex and Graig have been friends since college and making movies together for nearly that long.

(Graig + Alex circa 2006.)
Last year we got together and made a short film. We had a great time and the movie turned out pretty good, too. It's called HONEYBABY and you can watch it here:
Now we want to scale up and try something more ambitious. That's where you come in. We're trying to raise $10,000.
That's to cover a three day shoot, including cast, crew, food, and accommodations for the actors if necessary. Our plan is to shoot on location in Eugene, which means we may have to put people up for a few days if we cast out of Portland or Los Angeles.
By donating to the project, you become part of our team, and that means your name in the credits; first-look access to the finished movie; regular updates on our progress; invitations to festivals and screenings; and pottery. Yeah, pottery.
Graig's girlfriend is into ceramics! That means we've got loads of one-of-a-kind bowls and mugs and pots and vases for our backers. Gorgeous things. Tactile things. Check out the photos below.
