Teenage Vertigo is an Australian coming of age feature film by Adam Lang. It follows a day in the life of 19 year old Fylo, who after learning he's going to become a father, struggles to come to terms not only with his new found reality, but also the complexities of his personal relationships and what it means to grow up along the way. Drawing on themes of mental health in youth, sexuality, identity, isolation, friendship, relationships, selflessness and lack thereof, Teenage Vertigo is a story everyone can relate to in one way or another.
Co-written by Adam Lang and Liam Ridolfi, pieces of both writers are interwoven into the story and the characters in a way that tells the familiar coming-of-age arc in a unique and incredibly personal light.

Teenage Vertigo is my most personal film yet. It is an in-depth look at how a single day can set you on a new course for the rest of your life. Heavily inspired by my own personal experience of having a child at a young age, the film is a portrayal of the incredible magnitude such news can carry, especially for someone who can barely look after themselves.
While films like Knocked Up and Juno explore the process of having an unexpected pregnancy, Teenage Vertigo focuses on the first day of an extreme, life changing event and the immediate effect that has on a person. It’s a profound day that evokes a vast array of emotions and thoughts that provoke the beginnings of self-reflection and growing up.
Teenage Vertigo was co-written with my friend and writing partner of seven years, Liam Ridolfi. The script is a culmination of our friendship and individual lived experiences, shedding light on important themes like mental health in youth, sexuality, isolation and identity. These themes are at the heart and soul of our film for viewers from all walks of life to identify with and take solace in.
Inspired by films like Frances Ha, Good Time and Inside Llewyn Davis, Teenage Vertigo is a story that is extremely close to my heart, and one that I'm so excited to share with you and the rest of the world.
